A New Course

In other news, the British racists who voted to leave the European Union so they can kick out all the immigrants may jeopardized the English language's position as an official language. You played yourself.

I can easily imagine Republicans stepping on a similar rake.

Meanwhile, Senator Elizabeth Warren's superpower is apparently making Donald Trump lose his shit. Right after Warren spoke this morning during an appearance with Hillary Clinton, Trump started calling her Pocahontas again. Also, she's The Real Racist.

"She made up her heritage, which I think is racist. I think she's a racist, actually because what she did was very racist," Trump said in a phone interview. [...]

In the phone interview Trump re-upped his "Pocahontas" nickname for the Massachusetts senator, which some in the party have cautioned him against using in his attempt to appeal to a wider swath of the electorate.

Pocahontas is The Real Racist!

Finally, and speaking of losing their shit, former Senator Scott Brown participated in an RNC conference call this morning where he said Elizabeth Warren should have to take a DNA test.

You may recall that Scott Brown used this line of attack against Warren in 2012 and he lost.

One of my personal favorite moments of hypocrisy was during the Scott Brown initial run.

Remember when Bristol Palin’s babydaddy Levi Johnson (no prize himself) was in the midst of heated conflict with the Palins (who were still conservative darlings at the time) and posed rear nude in Playgirl? The sight of watching the conservative media grill him like he had just peed on the U.S. flag and then set it on fire, while hitting him with questions like “Don’t you feel that posing nude is an embarrassment to your children?” or some other version of “How could you?” and “How can anyone take anything you say seriously now?”

Jump slightly forward to Scott Brown. There was nary an interview that did not mention his nude magazine layout from his youth in a positive light, with emphasis on how hip and cool this made him. I remember one female conservative pundit gushing about how “cool” it was and how “proud” his daughters must be that they had such a hot and hip dad. There were even a few straight male conservative commentators who acted like they were just going to have the vapors over the excitement of this facet from his past. You could almost see the mental wheels turning “They think all we have on offer is stodgy old coots, but look at us now!”

Hmmmm…one guy does it, who is on the outs with the feted Republican Palins, and his ethics, decision making process, reputation and ability to be a decent parent were slaughtered by the media. Another guy does the same thing, and the same media paint him as hip, cool and a source of pride to his family, especially his daughters. There you have the conservative media in a nutshell. Hypocrisy much?

The way EWar kicked his ass, they should be able to get the DNA from his butt-cheeks.

Scott Brown won one election in a fluke after the death of Ted Kennedy, never served a full term, gets defeated in the very next election, moves to another state and runs for the Senate. Again. Loses. Again. Now the media keep going back to him so he can make the same stupid, petty argument about Elizabeth Warren that he lost with to her in the first place.

Why is this guy worth listening to again?!?

    • JMAshby

So you’re saying he’s the perfect Republican?

        I walked right into that didn’t I?

      But he’s so Preeeeeetttyyyy.

And doesn’t he drive a nice pickup truck and wear a manly Carhartt jacket? Qualifications enough!

        Pretty & dumb.

When Warren and Brown squared off against each other for the Senate seat I listened to the debates on the radio. Brown was a feather compared to Warren as sledgehammer. When Brown then carpetbagged to New Hampshire and lost I figured his political career was over. I hope I’m not wrong.

    • And boy did we pay for that one election he won.
