Koch Brothers North Carolina Voter Suppression

AFP Under Investigation in North Carolina

The Koch Brothers’ Americans for Prosperity group is under investigation in North Carolina for sending thousands of mailers giving voters bad information.

According to the State Election Board, thousands of North Carolina residents have been calling to complain about an erroneous ‘official application form’ sent to them by AFP. The mistake-riddled form gives voters the wrong deadline for voter registration, and directs them to send their registration documents to the wrong address.

I have no doubt that if a liberal third party sent incorrect mailers that resulted in erroneous registrations, Republicans would allege fraud just as they are in Georgia where bad registration forms are being held up as evidence of fraud. But since it’s AFP, don’t hold your breath. We all know liberals don’t make honest mistakes, they’re just like ACORN.

Despite the history Americans for Prosperity (*snerk*) has for electoral shenanigans in Wisconsin and West Virginia, my fearless prediction is that the investigation by North Carolina State Election Board will end with a bland statement declaring it found no intent by AFP to suppress the vote.

    Rinse, repeat.

Yes, thanks to Gov. McCrory, Tom Thillis, and the rest of the conservative state legislature.

First of all, Rethuglicans would allege fraud if Democrats were giving people the RIGHT information to vote.
