Massive drop in veteran housing spending

Mr. Bush's 2006 budget is out, and as we've mentioned, the news isn't good for America's veterans (Bush's VA budget jpg). To wit:

The proposed spending for housing for veterans has been slashed from $1.9 billion to a ridiculous $65 million.

You Bush voters... Kindly remove those yellow ribbon magnets and petition your president to give our veterans what they deserve. Especially the 250,000 homeless veterans living in shelters and drainage culverts.

It's closer to 300K, and thats just on a particular night. A great deal more will be homeless at some point in a one year period. I'd post links, but I dont know how reputable United Press International is, or where they got their numbers, and the veterans societies have a bias, though I tend to believe them.
