Yo Bushie! 42 percent!

Bush feeling the love at 42%

But you'd never know it by the sound of his parrots on Fox News and in Congress. When will they realize they've lashed themselves to the helm of a sinking ship?

Could Bush be responsible for London?
You decide. DailyKos and Americablog have uncovered a disturbing chain of events. Neither are prone to wild conspiracy theories.

The Era of the Toxic Baby

Unborn U.S. babies are soaking in a stew of chemicals, including mercury, gasoline byproducts and pesticides, according to a report released on Thursday.
"Of the 287 chemicals we detected in umbilical-cord blood, we know that 180 cause cancer in humans or animals, 217 are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 208 cause birth defects or abnormal development in animal tests," the report said.
Looks like the chemical weapons attack has been underway for a while. Will the white-skinned culprits be labeled terrorists as well?

Bush 41 dances on Rove's pasty head

"Even though I'm a tranquil guy now at this stage of my life, I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray the trust by exposing the name of our sources. They are, in my view, the most insidious, of traitors." President George H.W. Bush, April 26, 1999
So he danced on Rove's pasty head six years ago without any actual reference to Rove. But the quote rocks, no? Oh yeah, and Bush 41 once fired Turd Blossom for similar actions.

Fox's John Gibson is INSANE

He thinks Rove deserves a medal for leaking the identity of an undercover CIA operative (treasonous offense!) to the press. Oh Johnny. You and your enormous teeth.

Daily Show dances on Rove's pasty head

The Daily Show last night summed up the Rove situation beautifully. QUICKTIME courtesy of Crooks & Liars.
And the image above? Rove with convicted Watergate conspirator G. Gordon Liddy. That's about right.

Gray area from the black-and-white crowd?
"Karl Rove did not leak. Karl Rove provided information … it was background information, it was off-the-record ... it happens every day … it was perfectly proper." Brad Blakeman, former deputy assistant to the president
And yesterday, Brad didn't poop. He expelled fecal matter.

More wisdom from Banana Head (Santorum)

Monkeys with human brains?

SCIENTISTS have been warned that their latest experiments may accidently produce monkeys with brains more human than animal. In cutting-edge experiments, scientists have injected human brain cells into monkey fetuses to study the effects.
Full story here.
Now bring on the Bush jokes, y'all.

Give him hell, boys!

Scott McClellan was finally ripped to shreds by the White House Press Corp yesterday regarding Rove and the Plame investigation. David Gregory totally kicked Mac's ass -- repeatedly.

Olbermann dances on Rove's pasty head
To paraphrase Mr. Rove, liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers; conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 and the attacks and prepared to ruin the career of one of the country’s spies tracking terrorist efforts to gain weapons of mass destruction -- for political gain.

Allawi blasts Bush Iraq policy

“The problem is that the Americans have no vision and no clear policy on how to go about in Iraq. The policy should be of building national unity in Iraq. Without this we will most certainly slip into a civil war. We are practically in stage one of a civil war as we speak.” Former Iraqi Prime Minister and Bush "friend" Iyad Allawi

It's official: Corporations feeding us turds

I saw this cereal at the store last night and threw up in my mouth. Clearly, corporate America believes that our national addiction to high fructose corn syrup will lead us to eat cereal shaped like swirly turds. See for yourself at Kellogg's.

Newsweek confirms: It was Rove!

[E-mail from Matt Cooper to his editors at TIME]: "Spoke to Rove on double super secret background for about two mins before he went on vacation..."
Cooper proceeded to spell out some guidance on a story that was beginning to roil Washington. He finished, "please don't source this to rove or even WH [White House]" and suggested another reporter check with the CIA.
[More from the e-mail]:"it was, KR said, wilson's wife, who apparently works at the agency on wmd [weapons of mass destruction] issues..."
