Rosa Parks, American hero, passes on

Rosa Parks has died in Detroit at the age of 92. She had more fortitude and courage than the combined personell of the White House and both houses of Congress.

If you have children, tell them who Rosa Parks was and why she mattered. She mattered not only because she was a spark that ignited the great civil rights movement. She mattered because she showed the world that the actions of one person, even one so seemingly "insignificant," can change the path of a nation and the course of history.

May we all embody that spirit and, as Ghandi said, "be the change you wish to see."
