Paul Tsongas
I was just reading the latest Gallup poll on the race (here) and my memory was jolted back to this point in the Democratic race -- 16 years ago. I was Opinions Editor for the Kutztown University campus newspaper, The Keystone, and I convinced the editorial board to formally endorse Paul Tsongas for the Democratic nomination.
After writing the endorsement opinion, I wrote a weekly item for the paper called Tsongas Tstuff. I don't know whether to be proud of that, but I am proud of my support for Tsongas at the time. And, of course, I threw my support (as insignificant as it was) to Bill Clinton once he officially attained the nomination several months later.
