Morning Awesome

I saw this last night and all I can say is, "Oh my God." The other thing I can say is, "Don't sit too close to the screen." I can also say, "Cloverfield does for kaiju movies what Alien did for sci-fi."

Now you have to explain to me what a "kaiju" movie is....

I didn't want to spoil it, so I used an obscure term.

SPOILER WARNING BELOW...

It's a giant monster movie.

Since you've already shared the secret, Bob, I thought I'd post the following brief dialogue:

My son saw the movie last night with some friends. When I asked if he liked it, his succinct reply was: "Godzilla" - kawaii!

I might still see it.

You should definitely see it, peony. And the monster is way more scary than Godzilla.

Another interesting movie coming along is this, Doomsday. I'm a sucker for anything end of the worldy.

Bob, my wife and I went and saw this last night too. My only complaint was all the 14 year olds!

The movie itself, we thought, was really scary. The monster part of the movie took take a backseat to the survival of the characters and following their story.
