New Cramer Rant

cramer_rant_new.jpg

For those of you interested in the FUBAR economy, check out Jim Cramer's latest rant from this morning. And he's right about this shit. Under the (George W. Bush) SEC, these massive financial corporations -- Merrill, Citi, etc. -- are getting away with murder. By "murder" I mean "criminal levels of fraud".

I never felt as proud of anything on TV as I did this morning when I watched Cramer.
This was even better that his discussion with the Energy Secretary last year, an Energy Secretary who turned out to know less about ethanol distribution than did Cramer - much to everyone's surprise and momentary embarassment on national TV.

It has been obvious for a while that this fraud has been going on.
Or did it stop after Enron?

Right on, montag. Aside from Atrios who is covering the economy, I'm shocked there isn't more progressive talk about this issue. It's not just Wall Street taking the hit right now -- anyone who is trying to send their kids to college or save for retirement is being brutalized by this situation. The Dow dropped 600 points in the last 3 days and these financials aren't being honest about their books. The sovereign wealth funds are buying up shares and the SEC isn't investigating??? Come on! Meanwhile, our 401(k)s are being raped and our mutual funds are being hammered down by a bear market and recession driven by securities fraud.
