The Clinton Double-Play
"Dr. King's dream began to be realized when President Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act," Clinton said. "It took a president to get it done." [...] "The power of that dream became real in people's lives because we had a president" capable of action, Clinton said.
In other words, Senator Obama is all talky-talky like MLK, but Senator Clinton is all actiony-actiony like LBJ.
That's -- I don't know what to call it. She successfully diminished both her opponent AND an iconic civil rights leader with three short sentences. And people have the nerve to call her overly-calculated.
