The Senator's Speech
The only President of the United States who appeared on television tonight was Senator Barack Obama.
The line that made me smile: "9/11 is not a way to scare up votes, but a challenge that should unite America and the world against the common threats of the 21st century."

It's a great moment and a great thing, but now the hard part starts: solidifying Obama's position as the presumptive nominee and then doing battle with whomever the Republicans finally decide upon.

Let the Republican smear campaign begin. With the high percentage of racists that party boasts, it should be a living nightmare of hate and vitriol for the next 11 months.

As long as they're called out on it we'll all be better off for it in the end.

Can't figure out why we have to have four years of "running for office"? Why can't we just have like six months - June-Nov?
The negativity and smear campaign(s) just turns people off and brings out the hatred that runs deep down our middle.
At any given moment, I expect the South to secede again and start hiring slaves!!
