The continuing violence by itself proves the surge is a band aid on a cut not a cure....I think the even bigger issue is the number of young soldiers coming home wounded physically and mentally...Ive read suicide rates are rising in the services ,maybe ,because of the lack of treatment..or the fear of admitting to a "mental problem" like PTSD.. I Read a story in I think the Nation about a 19 yr old who basically had his dick and bowells blown apart.. so at 19 no sex and a colostemy. How do we fix??? Not as easy as timetables for withdrawl...The timetable on this problem is the lifespan of each affected soldier..Men and Women in our modern world....If this Country is not ready for a change and some Healing now It will probably be too late..Luckily my Wife is an Educator and I Bartend and work computers so we are Checking on Jobs Abroad or Far Up In Alaska.......Obama 08
