Okay, so when is Gerry quitting then?
So the Clinton campaign - not Hillary herself, of course - has weighed in on Geraldine Ferraro's ugly racism:
Earlier: Former VP candidate Ferarro says, “If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position… He happens to be very lucky to be who he is.”Response from Clinton spokesman Wolfson: “We disagree with her.”
Wow! Hold the phone! Disagreement?! Those are strong words, Howie.
Of course they're not as strong as "reject" or "denounce."
From the Obama campaign:
Foreign policy adviser Susan Rice on MSNBC says the Clinton supporter’s recent comments about Obama’s race are “outrageous and offensive.”“I think if Sen. Clinton is serious about putting an end to statements that have racial implications… Then she ought to repudiate this comment.”
Will Ms. Ferraro be quitting the campaign? Or maybe, like with Clinton booster/superdelegate/Emperor Club member Eliot Spitzer, we should just "wait and see" what happens. Who knows, maybe Ms. Ferraro will become less racist in the next "few days." On the other hand, maybe her racism will have an effect on white voters in PA. Which I guess would work pretty well for Hillary, huh?

She is just stating an obvious fact. I believe what she said is right.

I have to say that I agree with Ferraro's comments. They are quite factual if you look at the results so far since Obama has had the most success with African-American voters. If Obama were Caucasian, I believe there would be a tendency by African-Americans to remember how much the Clintons, Bill in particular, have done for them in the past and vote that way instead. They would have more in common with Clinton than with Obama. The fact that Obama is part African-American and a Democrat gives them even more of a connection. Pride has a lot to do with their voting and is an emotional powerhouse.

She *IS* right. Obama has absolutely NO credentials whatsoever that would allow him to compete in a national election but for the fact that too many people view this vote as a chance to show how PC they are.
"LOOK AT ME - I SUPPORT A BLACK MAN FOR PRESIDENT - SEE HOW EVOLVED I AM???"
It's not racism to say so - because it's TRUE. He's inexperienced. He admits he makes decisions based on his religious faith. He won't explain why he has an Islamic middle name (if he IS - then he should be PROUD of it and defend it - if he ISN'T, then he should finally say so). He has very few actual plans or a platform, and instead talks about dreams and desires and wishes.
We need more than that.
We need a LEADER of FIGHTERS, not a poster-boy for affirmative action.

yes, yes, yes, what she said is the absolute truth. And it is obvious that Obama

ard_vrk, here's a clue why Obama has a Muslim middle name.... HIS PARENTS GAVE IT TO HIM!
I don't have a middle name myself, know why not? MY PARENTS DIDN'T GIVE ME ONE!
Next you'll be asking Obama to 'explain' why he has a penis.
He has stated he is not a Muslim, he has stated that he is a Christian. Not 'finally' stated, but 'repeatedly' stated.
Anyways, to the point... Obama is benefiting from being black, also suffering from being black. Clinton is benefiting from being a woman, also suffering for it.
Some voters are pro-black, and some are racists. Some are feminists, and some are misogynists. Just the way it goes.

Anyone who thinks being a black man is an ADVANTAGE to running for president is clearly 1) white and 2) high on crack.
Okay, not really about 2). But seriously, the African-American population in America is 13%. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have proved categorically that being black doesn't help you win presidential nominations. Obama is winning because he's really smart, really inspiring, really new to Washington. He's not winning because he's black. That's beyond absurd.
Oh, and George W. Bush's middle name is Walker. He's a Christian. Or at least he says he is. But you know, he sure doesn't like to turn the other cheek. So who're you gonna believe?

Was this linked somewhere or something? What hole did these assholes crawl from?
Bleechh, if only you could see how gross, backward, and ignorant your comments are.

My favorite is the commenter espousing the Clinton/Ferraro ticket. Wow! What a winner! If Geraldine's too busy being a paid staff member of Fox News (this is true), maybe Hillary will pick Michael Dukakis or Walter Mondale to be her running mate! Yeah! Cause they're both white guys who understand the plight of the white man in America, you know?

It looks like this post was put up on a high school pro-Clinton blog/site (no offense to high schoolers), how else do you explain the flood of silly congruent comments?
