Pastors Are Crazy. What Else Is New?

Why am I seeing Reverend Wright on MSNBC right now? None of this is new and all of it has been debated over and over. The very serious cable people appear to be deliberately hitting Senator Obama on this just because they hit Senator Clinton on Ferraro. But this isn't news, goddamn it. It's not new and Wright isn't a member of Senator Obama's campaign. Hey -- very serious cable news people: this is not balance, it's irresponsible.

UPDATE: And now I'm watching the great Naomi Wolf, author of The End of America, ripping into MSNBC and the traditional media -- while on MSNBC. I hope Crooks & Liars is recording MSNBC right now.

Saw that. That was good. Mika looks like "shudder" do I have to cover this story? Feel for her.

Scarborough this morning...honestly, what bullshit! Such a HUGE to-do over Mr. Wright's comments [which, personally, I agreed with in large measure] and one of McCain's spokespeople was asked to comment about it and not one word, not one question, about McCain's own dubious cleric connections like Parsley & Hagee. McCain's guy kept his comment quite reasonable, though - something about they weren't ascribing Wright's words to Obama - seemed like he wasn't gonna let McCain get tarred with Parsley's brush.
Keep religion out of politics! Why is this such a hard concept for so many people to understand?!
