President Clinton Is Here

The Clinton campaign for the Republican nomination is in town and the former president will be speaking at Albright College today. I wonder if he'll say anything crazy.

From abcnews.com -

"He did not go into detail on Sen. Barack Obama, the Illinois Senator still locked in political combat with Sen. Clinton's wife for the Democratic nomination. Their next battle takes place next month in Pennsylvania.

But McCain, who Mr. Clinton said is a "moderate", "has given about all you can give for this country without dyin' for it."

What the hell is wrong with President and Senator Clinton? I almost can smell a creepy three-way brewing somewhere...

Yeah, except the American people are the ones who'll be getting fucked

Hey Ceu- I just read that Senator Leahy has called for Senator Clinton to drop out of the race. I wonder if this is the result of the "meeting" between Senator Reid and Howard Dean. Maybe what Dean asked for was for senior Democrats to start chiming in publicly. Dean is supposed to remain neutral, but those not directly involved in running the Party could definitely get out there and start calling for her to withdraw.

Other thoughts, anyone?

Hey, Nano - how ya doing? I saw only the headline - didn't read the article about it, but can say that the headline didn't surprise me. The party stalwarts are finally speaking out about the damage the party is inflicting on itself. IMO, the supporters of each candidate, with all the viciousness & name-calling & threatening not to vote if their candidate isn't the nominee, etc., are doing more harm than anything the candidates say about each other. It's got to stop and all the energy (and rage & enthusiasm) needs to be directed at McCain rather than other Democrats. I admit that I wanted to see the nomination go to the convention, but not like this. I wasn't wishing to see anything like this foolishness that's going on on the sidelines...
At any rate (having said that I haven't read articles about Leahy today) I don't know if the old guys are speaking out as a result of Dean's meeting or if Dean's meetings are a result of the old guys stepping into the fray....as long as the Dems start to realize that we're all on the same side in this and that this country can't afford (or survive) another 4 years of Republicans in the WH.
