The Ticket?

The more I think about these guys as a ticket, the more it makes perfect sense. Talk about a cross-section of America -- not to mention a cross-section of brains and experience.

After listening to Richardson's endorsement yesterday, the same thought occurred to me.

This would be good for America within AND without.

That would be remarkable. Especially with Richardson's new beard.

In an ideal world, I might agree, but I don't see it happening. I think the campaign will feel the need to go with an east-coast, established white guy, someone with a longer track record than Obama's in order to get past the "lack of experience" and "we don't hate white guys" bullshit. Dodd, Edwards (would Edwards even consider running for the #2 spot again??) Gore (okay, pipedream), Bob Graham...

I love Richardson's beard but he's not gonna keep it. Heard him on a segment on MSNBC this morning where he said that it was his little rebellion and his wife didn't like it, so it would be coming off. Damn, but then, I love beards in general - if you can grow one, you should, providing you're male.

I'm a woman and I say this is a damn fine looking ticket.

Intelligent, humane, sensible, easy on the eyes --and pretty much the exact opposite of what we've had shoved down our throats for the past 7 years.

It's probably too good to be true but one can hope!

I was wondering the same thing as I watched the speach. There are other good choices, but whatever selection is made, I hope it comes more from the chemistry of personalities then demographics and focus groups. That's how we ended up with Ferraro and Lieberman on the ticket, and we know what a success that was.

It just baffles me how much cool aid American people are willing to drink.
My Mom and Dad Rose and Jack Bless their souls used to say:
“Show me who your friends are and I will know who you are too” One fear I have is that you may as well be voting for Farrakhan.
It seems to me that if he is not hiding his middle name then it should have been on his campaign materials. hhmmmm? What happened Hussein is not his name? The people seems to s in regular circles with are highly questionable too.
Why don’t you just nominate Farrakhan? White? We do know much more about them and it is not a question of race pleaseeeeeeeee. We would all vote for Powell in a NY minute.

Personally I will vote for Hillary, but if I can not for some reason because the American people bought into Obama’s gift of good speeches or charm THEN I PRAY that Al Gore will come into the picture. And there is some talk about that right now.
But I will sing from every roof top – Not all things that glitter are real gold.
This Obama man is scary at best, NO OBAMA NO, NO OBAMA NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
