"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran," Clinton said. "In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."
Senator Clinton is war mongering for votes again. This is why she voted for the Iraq resolution -- in order to appear "tough." And with her Iraq vote as proof, she tends to mean what she says on this shit. In other words, this isn't pandering. She'll actually do it.
Last night on Olbermann, she said she would nuke Iran. That's awesome. Solution-y! She wants to want to kill innocent civilians (who support democracy, by the way) in order to settle a score with Ahmadinejad and stop him from making nuclear power plants weapons.
Does anyone agree with me yet that Senator Clinton might defect to the other side -- or even run as a Liebercrat -- if she doesn't get this nomination? I tell you what, I wouldn't be suprised if Senator McCain offered her the veep slot.

Um, perhaps a little context? Like, under what conditions did she say she would nuke Iran? I believe she was talking about extending our Cold War policy (MAD) to cover the Middle East, no?
I'm a fellow Obama supporter, and I generally like your writing, but more and more lately when the subject is Hillary you're coming across as one of the "Hillary-Hating Obama Crazies" that her supporters hold up as example of how unfairly she's treated. Please, don't make their Straw Man real.

Toast, I didn't hear her on ABC this morning, but I did hear her on MSNBC (Countdown) last night & she said that if Iran launched a nuclear attack on Israel, she would order a nuclear attack on Iran. So...no, she wasn't talking about mutually assured destruction, at least not mutual in the sense that the US would be destroyed, merely that the entire middle east would be obliterated. from MSNBC, here's what she said: In the interview Monday, Clinton affirmed that she would warn Iran’s leaders that “their use of nuclear weapons against Israel would provoke a nuclear response from the United States.”

AND she was ignoring the fact that the NIE said (with moderate confidence) that Iran doesn't have, and will not have in the near future, nuclear weapons and that as of the end of Oct 2007, Iran had not restarted their nuclear weapons program, which was halted in 2003.
