Cletus The Slack-Jawed Candidate

Posted By Bob Cesca

President Clinton:

"That's the kind of thing those people that aren't for us say. You know, they think we're dumber'n we are. I know, cuz I grew up in a place like this, and I figured out that people are just as smart here as anywhere else. But they ain't figured it out yet."

Dyuck-yuck-yuck. Duhhhh.

And have you noticed Senator Clinton's southern drawl lately? So embarrassing. Watch this video -- timecode 34 seconds:

"...Which is whut ah thank we'd git with Senter McCayun!"

I exaggerrated the transcript, but it's there. She's clearly putting on a southern accent down there. So she's from Scranton, New York, Chicago, Arkansas and North Carolahhhna.

Bonus awful... Have you noticed the Bush-style slogan backgrounds? Ugh.

And when did "educated" become an insult? Like "liberal". There are people saying shit like "we don't have to listen to those educated elitist liberals, blah, blah" I don't get it at all. We strive to get every kid a good education, but if you get one you're...no longer worth anything?! Only the ignorant or uneducated voters should count? We don't want people who know something to have a say in who should be president? I'm sooooo fucking confused...

I'm confused too. Or used to be. People believe want they want to believe. My sister moans, and groans about various quality of life influences, but never makes the connections to the fact that the corporate fascist state we live in is largely responsible for her situation, seeing how they've polluted our culture with "enablers" that enable her and others to compromise her health and other choices.

When I try to explain to her what's really going on, she says "yeah, but you have such high standards. You went to college so you got to learn these things."

I swear, college taught me nothing. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. For me, life is all about learning and at some colleges education simply perpetuates myths about American culture in order to make sure we don't discover their really is a man behind the curtain, or in our case, a corporation sucking us dry. Sucking the health (hellth) out of air, land, water and bodies.

Being aware of what is really going on, being aware of chromic, systemic attacks on our lives in the name of Chri$t makes me an educated, elitist snob.

So, I tell my sister every 6 months or so to shut the fuck up because if she's going to label my efforts as snobbery, interpret my words as condescending, patronizing elitist "too good for her" then why in hell should I care? Why should I care about people who are told not to care about even their own selves?

I refuse to tolerate the intolerable, and even more so those who will themselves into such as state of intolerableness. Fuck 'em.

I actually just wrote about this topic on my website, (www.terry-gilmores-head.com)

It blows me away that the very people who could be fooled by Hillary's pathetic pandering, those who dont pay enough attention to realize what a joke the gas tax holiday is, those who would watch her ride to work with billy bob, or pump gas, or down shots of crown royal (cause that is so blue collar) are the people that will decide the nomination.

The two of them have to appeal to the lowest common denominator, otherwise joe scarborough will label them as elite.

Chris matthews keeps gushing about how Hillary has managed to potray herself as a home town girl. Never stopping to discuss how pathetic it is that she has to resort to that to get nominated.

I have to continuously remind my friends and family that regardless what they hear tonight, a split today does not keep Hillary alive.

As Chuck Todd's goatee explained on Countdown last night, she cannot win this, without invoking the "nuclear option" and stealing it behind closed doors (like where he universal health care plan died 15 years ago).

The Tide is Turning, it is just taking a long time
