Cancer Cure
A cancer patient has made a full recovery after being injected with billions of his own immune cells in the first case of its kind, doctors have disclosed.The 52-year-old, who was suffering from advanced skin cancer, was free from tumours within eight weeks of undergoing the procedure.
After two years he is still free from the disease which had spread to his lymph nodes and one of his lungs.
Doctors took cells from the man's own defence system that were found to attack the cancer cells best, cloned them and injected back into his body, in a process known as "immunotherapy". After two years he is still free from the disease which had spread to his lymph nodes and one of his lungs.
They ought to be trying this on every cancer patient. Right now.

My fiance and I saw this report on TV the other night (last night?), and were very pleased. Although my chemo is doing a great job so far, it's good to know there's something that seems to be even better on the horizon. By the way, the cells they cloned and re-injected attack ONLY cancer cells, and leave healthy cells alone, something chemotherapy doesn't do.
All I can say is: Whoo-hoo!!!

Yeah, I was diagnosed about 3 months ago, and started chemo 2 1/2 months ago. After only two 3-day sessions of chemo, all the cancer was gone from my liver, and the tumor that started all this foolishness was measurably smaller. So, things are very optimistic. I have 3 more 3-day sessions to go, and then we'll see what's happening.
