Here We Go

On MSNBC they're talking about Senator Obama's so-called "patriotism problem." (Trying not to freak out, here.) I'm listening to Chris Matthews tell me that "the little guy" likes America because there's God. Pat Buchanan saying you've either got patriotism or you don't. And Joe Scarborough defining patriotism as that feeling you get when you hear that awful Lee Greenwood song. Seriously. He seriously said that.

This election is going to be covered using the same old script. Democrats = effete, elitist, San Francisco liberals. Republicans = patriotic, middle American. The only way for Senator Obama to win, they'll say, is to act like a Republican.

After waking up to Terry McAuliffe's stupid fucking face, in a sleepy dream state I had to accept something that really pissed me off. Think we can't stand the Clinton's and their surrogates now? I don't think we understand the stream of annoying, posturing faces and voices we're going to have to endure until the media decides to stop giving her equal time. Until they realize that this is now a historical race between Obama and McSame. That is, unless she decides to declare she running as an Independent.

Fucking Clinton's. Fucking Media.

I am watching MSNBC and Obama is speaking like the President he is going to be. He saved the good stuff for after the primaries. He is going to be SO AWESOME!!!!!

As a counterpoint to Terry McCauliffe... wouldn't it be nice if Hillary Clinton supporters showed this kind of grace (not to mention Hillary herself)?

Sadly, one other person pushing the "Democrats need to be more like Republicans" meme is the ever objectionable Harold Ford. Does anybody out there know why that guy is such a doink?

Ford's a tool. Plain and simple.

Now, then, yes, Terry was ranting about the 18 million votes his candidate received, over and over. Why will no one challenge this? If you count Michigan and Florida, well, then, yes blah blah. BUT it just ain't so. This woman Hillary is terrifying.
