Berlin
This was the historical line:
The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes; natives and immigrants; Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down.
UPDATE: Meanwhile, Senator McCain told Sean Hannity today:
it's pretty clear that Senator Obama was not going to change his wrong view that the success had not succeeded, and the fact is it has succeeded, and we're winning, and he refuses to acknowledge that.
"The success had not succeeded and the fact is it has succeeded?" Exactly! Wait. Huh?

Such an awesome historic video... we watch it quite frequently in the Folio household. A little something for everybody...Cyndi Lauper, Joni Mitchell, the freaking BAND!!!!, Van Morrison, absolutely classic footage of Bryan Adams doing Young Lust...can't you just see him as a young kid in his basement picking out the guitar licks to this song. And of course...Roger.

Bob, you've gotta blog extensively about the Berlin speech, so that State Dept employees in Berlin can hear about it. Otherwise, thanks to our own State Dept - which won't let them attend the speech - they might not find out what he says.

I was fortunate to hear 'the' speech on my satellite rado. I was so proud of Sen Obama and his representation of the US citizens. The McBush gang does not have a valid point to make against Sen Obama so poor McCain can only talk about the escalation of troops, otherwise know as the surge. I wish the media would stop saying surge and call it what it is- an escalation of troops. Maybe then, the programming would reverse itself and the act be seen as what it was- an escalation of troops. One more thing- someone please ask McCain what we are winning besides debt, higher gas prices, losing our homes, lost jobs, higher groceries, supporting a nation that is making a mint from THEIR oil while we pay for their rebuilding. I thought we were going to be hailed as 'liberators'! Well, they have been liberated from Sadam, so, let's get the hell out of there! I love the jealousy from the right!
