McBush Bot
Paddy posted a revealing Today Show inteview with Meredith Viera and Senator McCain. Watch it, and come back and tell me that he's not a ticking time bomb. His sing-songy contained rage is palpable. But the other thing to note is that his media coaching isn't going very well -- on several occasions he kept talking even though Viera was asking a follow-up. Usually, the guest will stop halfway through or at least say 'let me finish'. But McBush Bot kept talking as if by rote. Creepy. I am McBush Bot! Beep-boop-beep!
UPDATE: McBush Bot also suffered a malfunction:
"I think it's serious. . . . It's a serious situation, but there's a lot of things we need to do. We have a lot of work to do and I'm afraid it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border."
Foreign policy experience! McBush Fever! Catch it!

Reminds me of Reagan's antics when he would feign not being able to hear an unfriendly question.
McBush just simply keeps talking so he doesn't have to hear it.

I think it is obvious he is tired. Worn down. Needs a nap. Needs more pills, how many is he taking now? Do they still make Geritol?

He's confused Afghanistan & Iraq before. On the VoteVets.org video (from Nov, 2003, about muddling thru in Afghanistan) he said that Karzai "controls all of Iraq 'til you get to the city limits of Kabul." That statement is just plain wrong on more than one level.

He doesn't have a fucking clue what's going on, who's fighting whom, who's the president of what country, or where the countries are in relation to each other. It's appalling and disgusting that this is the best the GOP has to offer.

Now he's making me malfunction...
"I have a strong, uh, keep taxes low."
I guess to rally the base all you have to do is just spout key words without any coherent sentence structure. "America. Freedom good! Taxes low! Future surge working strategy commanders war win!"

"We have a lot of work to do and it's a very hard struggle"
That phrase always seems to mean "YOU need to let ME spend as much money as I want fucking this whole thing up. It will mean smashing our military, destroying our economy and pretty much rendering the Constitution null and void. Now, will you just get the fuck on board with that idea and stop expecting so much accountability?"

It's like the Family Guy episode when Lois decides to run for mayor but her nuanced policies are losing the crowd during the debate. Then she decides to use soundbites like "9/11" and the audience goes wild.
