McCain = Bush

This is unbelievable. Also, don't miss the guy in the McBush pea pod costume. Classic.

I disagree, Bob; this is absolutely believable. The McCain camp can't allow free speech to reveal the truth about their candidate.

Of course, the ticket will be thrown out (rather, laughed out, probably) of court. How can they ever prove she was trespassing on public property, simply because she was exercising her constitutional right to free speech?

I just hope this gets wide-spread publicity.

McCain was in Denver yesterday? I thought I felt a disturbance in the Force...

Here's a link to the Denver Post story -

It's sad how politicians are allowed to ignore public dissent now. I think they still have plans to corral protesters at City Park for the convention. You know, "free speech zones." Google map it. Nobody attending the convention will even know the protesters are even in the state...

Presumably, NT, the demonstrators won't actually bother with the free speech zones, as per Massachusetts and New York in 2004.

Nano, it's really not that 'politicians are allowed to ignore public dissent now". They've ignored it often in the course of history.

What's not just sad, but reprehensible, is that in the United States of America, politicians can, with the help of law enforcement officials, squelch public dissent, have the dissenters removed, and threaten those who wish to continue to practice their Constitutional rights with arrest and detainment.

It would be one thing if this 61 year-old librarian was a disruptive and dangerous distraction - but she was standing quietly in line, holding her sign... which offended McSame and/or campaign staff.

It would be interesting to see how someone at an Obama rally, holding a sign that said something like "Obama = Carter" would be treated.

I'm guessing that rather than having them removed, Obama would, if he had the opportunity, engage them in conversation to discover why they felt that way and perhaps change their mind.

I may not agree with Obama on every issue, but he certainly is no coward.
