Morning Joe

Picking up on Paddy's post about Morning Joe, here are a couple of observations:

1) Mika seriously asked Morgan Spurlock, "Where did you get your name?!" If I were Morgan, I would've answered, "Oh it's not my real name. My real name is Gonads Van Rapist."

2) Pat Buchanan, who is a known race-baiter but yet is still taken seriously by MSNBC, said something to the effect of (paraphrasing), "Last week Obama was leading by 15 in the Newsweek poll and today he leads by 2 in the Gallup daily tracking poll. He always starts out strong and then he can't close the deal." The Gallup poll has always been close, Pat. What the hell is wrong with you?

What I didn't even get into was a bit they did on FISA, where Pat claimed that the telecoms helped out the government "with no incentive".

Oh really? Former CEO Says U.S. Punished Phone Firm Qwest Feared NSA Plan Was Illegal, Filing Says

Losing billions of contract cash sounds like an incentive to me.

(and don't even get me going on the so called "Hollywood Liberal" saying, "If you're worrried about the government tapping your phone, stop talking so loud in public on your cel phone." What the hell was that supposed to mean?
John Cole watched this am and felt pretty much the same way.

Poor Mika. Seems like Intern-less Joe has rubbed off on her. Hopefully only in the figurative sense.

Let's see... Obama has been elected to legislative office four times, and has been nominated by his party to be President of the United States of America. Buchanan has never been elected or nominated for any elective office, anywhere, anytime, ever. Yet Obama is the one who "can't close the deal?"

Projecting much?

Bob, I know you realize that asking Pat Buchanan "What the hell is wrong with you?" is rhetorical.

He doesn't think there's anything wrong with him. It's the same with every delusional "pundit."

By the way:

I simply cannot watch "Morning Joe," for the same reason that I cannot listen to Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage.

I am positive that my head will explode if I do.

I cannot stand listening to Pat Buchanan! He is seriously the most delusional "polical analyst" on tv!

The format for Morning Joe has so much potential and the show is totally unwatchable. Mika and Joe have no business doing a show that requires conversation and Pat Buchanan is a joke you can't laugh at because he is ruining the moment. There should be no one willing to pay any of the three of them to work in news or entertainment.... whichever Morning Joe is supposed to be!I really wonder if anyone who is a decision maker at MSNBC has ever tried to watch that program.

Joe Scarborough's passive aggressiveness towards Mika reduces her to babbling infantilism. Her subservient personality makes her his perfect foil. It's like watching the psychic and mental abuse perpetrated by a married man upon his weak willed wife. It is too painful to watch.

Buchanan is a racist. That being said, I find Buchanan amusing to watch. I listen to him and the first thing that goes through my mind is - the poor guy just cannot accept that, in his lifetime, a black man may be capable of accomplishing what Buchanan has not - making it to the White House.

Buchanan and Scarborough will do anything, within reason, to sway voter's opinions....the problem is - Mika has taken their bait and is now part of the problem when she had an opportunity to the solution of "race baiting".
