The Worst Possible Obama Running Mate
...Has to be Senator Bayh. I don't know if they're seriously considering this tepid DLC hack who took money from one of the nation's biggest polluters and sat on the Committee for the Liberation of Iraq, but If Senator Obama chooses Bayh, he'll either lose the election or it'll be so close that he won't have any sort of mandate for his agenda. Progressives will irreparably turn against Senator Obama and it won't guarantee Indiana's electoral votes.
Senator Obama needs to go MORE liberal with his VP selection. Not less. The campaign is weakest on the left.

No love from this Hoosier for Bayh. One of my major problems with him is that he and his wife are also deep in the pockets of Big Pharma.

Agree. Bayh is boring. Can you imagine a debate between him and Romney? The battle of the Kenbots.

Bayh isn't boring, he's about 2 shades off from being Joe Leiberman with an obnoxious accent. I agree, Obama needs someone who can differentiate him from his opponent, lest we wind up in the 2000 "they're both the same" boat again.

I agree wholeheartedly. I vote for this clown by default every six years. Any time that you contact his office on any issue, you get a form letter full of republican talking points back. A lot of the time Lugar's as much of a Dem as Ev is.

I agree....Bayh would be a very bad choice. There is one guy who has been mostly under the radar and that is Congressman Jack Reed from my state, Rhode Island. He will be accompaning Obama on his trip to the Mid east. He is quiet and understated, but he has the military background, experience and an good understanding of the dynamics of the area. He should definitely be on the short list.

IMO, the worst choice would be Chuck Hagel...but Bayh's right up there. I liked his father, but Evan? Ick.

Not only did he sit on the Iraq liberation committee, but he was one of four Democratic Senators who voted to confirm Mukasey for AG. He deserves the rack for that one.
