Awful
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A gunman barged into the Arkansas Democratic Party headquarters Wednesday morning and shot the state party chairman three times, critically wounding him, authorities and party officials said. The suspect was later shot during a 30-mile police chase and died, authorities said. Police said he was 51 years old, but have not identified him.

Don't be too quick to judge. I've heard un-confirmed reports that the man worked for Gwaltney's car dealership.
sorry, I just felt I should throw that out there before people start speculating about the motives.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Gwatney family.

While we need more facts before including this as the latest of attacks against us liberals, I can say that I'm more scared than ever to even say that I am a Democrat.
I live in a small Kansas community that is nearly 90% Republican and they don't even bother reporting Democratic State, County, and Local primary results, or even how many Democrats bothered to vote in the primary.
And I'm scared to admit I'm a Democrat openly! Even when I have to listen to crap like, "they're setting traps around the White House to keep out the beavers and the coons". Yes, I heard that at the barber shop!
When I voted in the recent local primary I swear when the registrar asked if I wanted a Democrat ballot you could have heard a pin drop for 30 seconds! Everyone stopped in their tracks and stared at me.
We Democrats have become a target! Make no mistake about it!

Now we can forget the idea that this was personal:
What we do KNOW is that more guns = more violence and death!
But Republicans love to ignore facts!
