I told my parents after the speech (who divorced when I was 5 years old) that until I have children, I will never be more moved as a human being than I have been tonight.

Open thread...?
In any event, jumping in on the fresh thread to add to the big pile of "oh wows" coming off this speech. If this doesn't turn things around in terms of the polls etc., I officially give up on this country.

I had a softball game tonight so I wasn't able to get home to watch his speech. I ended up watching it on mute (with closed captioning on) at a small bar in Upstate NY, the only person paying attention, in a place that probably wouldn't care what he had to say anyways.
I've never been so moved, so enthralled by typed words coming across the screen. I didn't need to hear Obama's voice, I could see it in everyone's faces.

Oh my... See what I missed by not watching the talking heads? Bob - you've got to put this up on your site - Pat Buchanan drooling over the speech!

Damn.
This country, and the world, need this man to be in the White House.
