If You Want A War With Russia
McCain, speaking with U.S. News en route from Birmingham, Mich., to Eagle, Colo., said there would not be a return to the Cold War but there would be a "dramatically different relationship" between the United States and Russia unless Moscow's behavior changes. "It is not acceptable behavior in the 21st century," McCain argued. In the past, McCain has advocated expelling Russia from the Group of Eight major industrialized nations, citing its pullback from democratic principles, but it is unlikely that the major European members would go along with such a move.
Now where's that Daisy ad?
Worse. Than. Bush.

Hey Bob, OT, but where can I find the video/audio of you on the Young Turks?

What the hell does "dramatically different relationship" mean? Russia is sending a clear signal that we can go screw ourselves -- they don't need us anymore. I'd like to hear what Goofy Gampy's gonna do about it besides offer a "dramatically different relationship."
Second that video/audio question Constance. I subscribe to the Turks on YouTube, but I didn't see the Bob on there last time.

we're effed
last night I was a my 2nd job and it so happens that USA and Russia were boxing, of course USA was whipping the Russians' ass, and as I was talking about the US boxer saying how fast he was this older white dude, I'd say late 60's early 70's, chimed in an said "Yeah America is kicking Russia's ass! This is for Georgia! Russia doesn't know who they are fucking with!" I had to walk away...Obviously he doesn't watch much news and on how the new conflict between the 2 countries started - with Georgia starting something it knew it couldn't finish. And I guess he didn't pay attention to the fact that we're broke as a nation, our oil is imported from those who wanna tear us a new asshole and that our military is way to stretched to help ANYBODY ELSE out. At that moment I just imagined that I was just talking to Geriatric John. He was the kind of person that makes me shiver because I know, just know, that he will vote for John and his bullshyt and with a mentality like that I just can imagine how fucced we are.

October Surprise in August?
The way McCain is breaking out the righteous anger on Russia (and that he's conveniently forgetting that Georgia started this whole thing by killing Russian peacekeepers) this sounds like a manufactured event to give him something to look tough on, because McCain is laughably inept at campaigning on domestic issues.

Shame on McCain
What I feared is coming true. McCain has such a bad temper all it would take for him to lose it is one wrong word and than he'll push the button. We need someone who is calm. McCain talks about experience but so far is has lack judgement. What worrisome is he sending Liermann and Graham as his aides. All heck would have been made if Obama had presumed to be president. Why isn't the press not calling him on it. You can see that McCain/Bush are closely talking to each other. Why hasnt Bush told him to back off. McCain's only experience was VN war. He sat it out in a prison camp. How doesn't that give him the experience for being president. He got where he got because his father and grandfather were Generals. He grew up in life of privilege. He hasn't got a clue what an enlisted soldiers and families go through. While his family lived on bases their homes were large. Am not knocking that because rank does have its privileges. But alot of soldiers are not support McCain. We need calm heads for the 21 century not 20 century rattle snakes.

solrac: just a friendly reminder to always "fact-check" before posting. McCain's father and grandpap were both in the navy, as was McCain. That means they were admirals, not generals. Navy doesn't have some generals.
