Bob, I'm late on this one, but did you hear Cokie Roberts on NPR earlier in the week? There was an outpouring of outrage that (..."outpouring of outrage"? Christ, I gotta read the Guardian's blog comments more--soooooo much more articulate than my own) they mentioned on the air, picked one particularly limited comment ("Last I checked, Hawaii was a state") and dismissed it with Steve Inskeep's (sp?) annoying attempt on humor. Bleh. Even liberals in the media are coopted (as my Philly wife would put it) schmucks for dogs.
