Nookular
Quaylin just said "nookular."
Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and ... Trig? Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper and ... Trig? Maybe we don't need the Romneys. But she has experience on the PTA.
Oh yah. Ask Stan Grossman. He'll tell ya' the same thing, darn tootin'.
UPDATE: Dingeldein weighs in.
UPDATE THE SECOND: How soon until McCain calls her a trollop?

TOO funny; what a gift!
Another angle I'd say is that McCain knows Biden will eviscerate his debate opponent, so he hopes to blunt any potential with some appeal to Biden "being mean" to the poor woman.
Jeez, if Hillary taught us anything, women don't need to be protected from the mean old male polits.

Normally I would pose the question of how Palin feels about being used, but shes a republican woman so Im sure she is used to it.

Can't say anything negative about the Republican ticket at all 'cause he was a POW and she's a woman.

The middle photo at the top of HuffingtonPost looks like McCain is checking out her ass.

I think the only pick that would have really scared me would have been Tom Ridge--
but again, this is a pure BBQ media play--expect very, very soft media treatment as well as HRC references every other sentence.

I think Romney would have been the best choice despite wearing magic underwear.

Some idiot on MSNBC talking about Palin's lack of foreign policy experience: "But of course, Alaska is close to Russia, so maybe that will count for something."
Kill. Me. Now.

Biden is quite simply going to destroy her, both now and at the debates.
Likelihood of McCain dying in office - pretty damn high
Likelihood of Palin being read to be Commander-in-Chief at that point - Absolutely Zero
Why does John McCain hate America?

McCain doesn't hate America, he just loves chasing skirts... so much that he would make one vice president just to try to get in her pants.

He looks visibly uncomfortable with all this, standing next to Palin. Like he's scared of her. Oh it's so only a matter of time until he calls her a cunt.
Seriously, I think that truculent TIME interview I mentioned yesterday was all about the deep, deep bitterness he feels inside about how hard he's had to betray himself and now this Devil's Bargain with -- gasp! -- a woman just to make a pandering play at "history." Fuck you, McCain; I hope it hurts you hard, you small little man.

I feel so sorry for Mrs. Palin. She's used to being abused and so I wonder what her Female VP pay is going to be. A lot less under McCain.
She's hot as hell though. I don't think this was JM's choice, but rather his campaign desperately looking for a way to score points but more importantly to answer the most pressing issue of the McAint CampAint: how in hell do we keep this geezer awake?? Or, what do we get someone who has 8 houses but just one wife?
I guess they chose to answer that question because they know Obama has this in the bag. Nevermind the media drama queens who will keep this race on life support for another 60+ days.

"self-styled hockey mom". Whoa, I need to take another hit in order to comprehend the implications of this stupendous statement.
Like, their are stylists where you can make an appt and they'll turn you into a hockey mom? So, Palin is a do it yourself-er? Does that mean she is going to just, you know, make an appt at the stylist to be transformed into a VP? Or she going to go the DIY route?
I need another hit cuz I thought GILF meant Geezer I'd Like to Fuck, you know, from Palin's perspective. Sorry I didn't get that the first time around.

Completely agree, Friction, no way this was McCain's choice. He looks extremely uncomfortable up there with this dynamic, vivacious little sex-pot. Poor little John-John!

Miss Moosejaw is one heartbeat (faint and not very reliable, at that) from having her manicured finger on The Button? That's it. I'm trading my vagina in for a dick, STAT!

I think the angle that there's no way Mac picked this running mate is the best line of attack from out here in the grumbling tubes. Do we honestly believe he would choose a Maggie Oconnel half his age to take on the very serious problems he believes himself the only one able to master--you know, like the defeat of evil. If he can't choose his own running mate, he's not in control of anything. He's worthless.

Simple question to ask McCain - "How do her qualificatons outweigh those of the other potential running mates considered? In other words...why her!?!? Imagine how Romney, Guiliani, Pawlenty and even Lieberman feel to lose to this woman?
