Enough!
Senator Biden seriously needs to cut this shit out.
"John McCain is my friend," said the loquacious Blue Hen. "I admire John McCain. I know of no man or woman I have ever met that has more personal courage than John McCain. We have been friends for over 33 years. We have traveled together. When John was Navy liaison he staffed me for three or four years everywhere I traveled in the world."Jill and John are good friends,"...
...And he goes on and on from there and only stops short of complimenting McCain's ass. Meanwhile, and in stark contrast, Palin is running around implying that Senator Obama is a layabout slacker.
(The more I think about her "actual responsibilities" remark, the more it sounds like she and Vlad Rudy were playing the old "African-Americans are shiftless and lazy" card. If so, it's very Birth of a Nation of them. I cover some of the history of the far-right's electoral racism in the chapter 'The Great Fear of 2008' in my forthcoming book.)
Anyway... Stop it, Joe. Just stop.

Amen to that.
Joe, you can be courteous to your opponents without getting down on your knees...

How about this message to Joe: I love ya' man, but enough with praising Johny-be-good!
Ix-nay on praising Ohny-jay! When you feel the urge just STFU!

This really can galvanize the impression that Dems are weak, unwilling to do what it takes 2 win, and are just a lighter shade of shit.
C'mon! McCain is an undiagnosed crazy POW stress-case who'll BRONG BACK THE DRAFT. Palin will BRING BACK YER BACK-ALLEY ABORTION!
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

These guys have to stop acting like friends and start acting like opponents. Joe, McCain would stab you in the back with a shiv if he were told that that's all he had to do to win the Oval Office. You can be friends with him again on November 5th, but until then, knock it off!

Dear Senator Biden.
There's a difference between being friends with John McCain and blowing him. Do you swallow, too?

Agreed, Bob. We started to see this right after the 2006 Congressional elections. The Dems were in a hurry to prove that we're not big meanies like the Republicans. We're made of rainbows, unicorns and puppies. See? We're not going to treat you like you treated us. The result was the Democrats got a few things done, the Republicans turned into one giant obstructionist voting block, and George Bush kept getting everything he wanted.
I know the BBQ media is starting to give the McCain/Bush-Palin ticket a free pass, but they are still in question mode, if only just a little. Now is the time for the Obama campaign to strike, hard and fast. To start talking about how she wont do interviews, she has little executive experience, no foreign policy experience to speak of. They need to start putting her and Bush in the same frame, reminding America that Bush was exactly this kind of lightweight when he got elected and look where it got us.
For all their show at the RNC, the Republicans are right now, this moment, at their weakest. If Obama/Biden backs off now, they get to strengthen their position just by making it a week without a major gaffe. Every day that goes by with the Right Wingnut Bloviators, like Buchanan, Limbaugh and O'Reilly, praising her meager accomplishments, McCain/Palin gains legitimacy through longevity. That's how they change the narrative. They stick to their story no matter what is thrown at them.
If this ticket is not DESTROYED very, very soon, four weeks from now everyone will be in love with them and asking, aloud, "what was the big deal".

Will someone make Nano the Director of Comms for the Obama Campaign? Methinks he'd get the job done.
Throw in Elvis and B/way Carl as copywriters... and it'll be a landslide.
