The Barbecue Is Back

If this morning is any indication, the barbecue media is back. They've totally caved under pressure from the McCain campaign and the Republicans.

The consequences of falling for this same Republican script? More wars, more death, more economic chaos.

What I love is that it's fine and even cute that Palin's seven year old daughter is on Meghan McCain's blog in a video saying "vote for mommy", yet when Obama's daughters get media attention it's "exploitation". So why is it the Republicans like seeing the cute little white girl, but the cute little black girls need to stay away?

I think the larger question is "Why hasn't Meghan McCain been destroyed before she becomes the next idiot (species Blondus vacuous) to get a reality show?"

I listened to my Thom Hartman this morning and he interviewed Rick Santorum (haha...Santorum. I'd link to the real definition, but I've decided to spare the delicate among you). This interview probably took place yesterday afternoon, but Santorum was already repeating the "two years of executive experience" mantra vs. Barrack Obama's "legislative experience."

Bunch. of. Shitbirds.

When will Fox News start calling the guy who knocked up Bristol Palin her "baby daddy" the way they referred to THE FATHER of Michelle Obama's children.

After McCain's latest nastiness with the media, I think we're going to start hearing a different tune. Of course, the shitheads like Buchanan and Hannity and Scarborough are going to say what they always say, but the Joe Klein comment in TIME and McCain blowing off Larry King because of what happened with Campbell Scott might just be the breaking point we're all looking and hoping for.

Never, he's not black.

I'm sick and tired of everyone fawning over this speech. Someone needs to call it what it was: just another Republican smear job, this time featuring tits.

Second that, Harem. It reminded me of something I might hear from the valedictorian at a high school graduation. You know, where they throw in big words just to show you that they know big words. But have no fear, the Republican talking heads are already out there with the Big Lie: It Was Great.

By the way, did McCain speak last night? I can't even remember.

P.S. I caught that "talks one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco" crack and the meaning behind it. I'd curse you to a lifetime of really bad hair and shitty make-up, but it looks like the good Gay Loggers of Alaska already beat me to it.

McCain actually called out Palin's earmarks in 2001, as found in this HuffPo article by Jason Linkins, which is absolute gold:

Every question I had about Palin before the speech, still exists.

What have I realized after the speech? She's a good speaker, and a smart-@$$.
