This is McCain on Drugs
Posted by JumpyPants
Senator McNutjob is talking so fast out of both sides of his mouth that I expect him to start spewing teeth any minute now.
The economy is "fundamentally strong" BUT we're in a "crisis brought on by greed!" And either he "never paid much attention" to economics OR he's the "only one who can fix the economy!"
And of course both he and his running mate are "outsider mavericks" who are all about "change!" EXCEPT that they ALSO both have the "experience America needs right now."
John McNutjob is a desperate addict who will stop at nothing to get his fix. He's addicted to power, and his drug of choice is called POTUS.
America, Just Say No.

If he takes a dive in the polls, do ya think we'll attack Iran as a distraction?? (no, I'm not kidding. I really believe that such an attack by us or Israel will happen...)

What is so troubling, still, is that Lipstick on a pig LIE can DOMINATE the news WALL TO WALL--and yet "the economy is fundamentally strong" (while very much out there) isn't even close in the amount of coverage. Also, how is the Troopergate obstruction not page one?--and she still hasn't answered any questions--unreal--

Another 450 points today?? Unreal! It's down 25% from where it was less than a year ago. Jesus.
Deregulation - ain't it grand?!

In my estimation JG, the media sets the narrative and disseminates what they see fit.
The "Pig" lie is simple, sensationalistic and it sells. The economy and obstructionism are difficult concepts to grasp (in the estimation of the media – they have a very low opinion of the average American) and deliver in a 10 second sound bite.
Reality sucks sometimes.

Bail out is a misleading terms because technically, all the government did was tell those investment banks "we don't know what debts you have, but we'll take them on anyways."
Therefor, these banks no longer need to write off home mortgage debts. Therefore more homes will be foreclosed upon. Therefore city government will be stuck with the actual bill as they are forced to cut back services due to drastic decline in tax revenue from property taxes.
As credit shrinks, so do small businesses. The Feds actions this week guarantee that neither Obama nor McCain will be able to undo this mess. Oh, Obama could but it would be political suicide because the Feds basically averted an economic catastrophe...... wait for it.....
the wealthy. There you have: a bail out for the wealthy, pure and simple.
So in this sense, the Feds acted to send a really strong message to Obama: you might win, but we will make sure that it's just for 1 term.

WikiLeaks reports that the anti-Scientology group Anonymous has turned its attentions to Sarah Palin, and hacked her Yahoo e-mail account. They've posted screenshots and a few e-mails for the world to see. Governor Palin received an email from Amy McCorkell, "whom Palin appointed to the Governor's Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse in 2007." This is what someone on an Alaskan Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse says in e-mails to the Governor:
Don't let the negative press wear you down! Pray for me as well. I need strength to 1. keep employment, 2. not have to choose. Lately I just pray may God's will be done. I am trying to learn patience and to listen to God. I pray he gives you energy! Strength!
Knowing, as we do, that Governor Palin would appoint BFF Wasilla High cheerleaders to Cabinet and Supreme Court positions once Johnny McFeebleorgans expires, and reading, as we just have, what those BFFs would bring to said offices ("I just pray may God's will be done" isn't that far removed from Allahu Akbar, is it?), I'd say we few, We Happy Few, that still respect the utter secularity of the Constitution get the fucking vote out and stop this utter nightmare.
Seriously, folks. This is an absolute disaster.

According to this press release, the Governor's Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse has the following responsibilities:
The board advises the governor, the Legislature and state agencies on issues related to alcohol and drug abuse, including mental health challenges. It also reviews grant applications to the Department of Health and Social Services and works with the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority.
So yeah, that's something you want staffed by an ex-private eye that puts everything in the hands of The God™ when times is tough.

This whole damn thing is ridiculous! I heard McCain say yesterday morning on CNN that he supported new regulatory measures, then when asked if he supported stronger regulation he said NO!
A week or so ago at an interview with AARP McCain said he was against raising the withholding cap for Social Security withholding, and he was against raising retirement age, and he was against privatization, but he liked the idea of letting youger workers put some of there FICA withholding in a private account!
McCain contradicts himself more often than any candidate for POUS in my lifetime!
And the fucking press gives him a pass!!!!!!!!!!
One thing we really know about McCain: he will bomb Iran!

Elvis,
I can't get to that site! I think it's going to implode, just like the Mc-Palin campaign!
