WTF?
Can someone translate what the hell Palin is saying about energy in this video?
"Of course, it's a fungible commodity and they don't flag, you know, the molecules, where it's going and where it's not. But in the sense of the Congress today, they know that there are very, very hungry domestic markets that need that oil first. So, I believe that what Congress is going to do, also, is not to allow the export bans to such a degree that it's Americans who get stuck holding the bag without the energy source that is produced here, pumped here. It's got to flow into our domestic markets first."
...And U.S. Americans don't have maps, such as and.
She's McCain's energy expert! Very serious!

She is saying, in a roundabout way, fuck-all around energy in this video.
I would attribute this to stupidity, ignorance, or, perhaps, a semi-fatal head injury.

I'm dead serious (I've heard this once, and read it three times): what IS she trying to say? Seriously.

We have to remember that, at least according to McCain, "She knows more about energy than probably anyone else in the United States of America." So of course it might be difficult for us everyday folks to understand the pronouncements of such an expert.

Fungible is a real word. (I thought it was a made up word). Learn something new every day.

She's not much of a free marketer if she thinks she's gonna be able to tell Shell & Exxon who they can sell their oil to.

what she's saying is:
"hi, I'm a stank-assed dingbat."

and to that I say "thanks but no thanks".

How about this as a new slogan
"McCain/Palin - Thanks but No Thanks!"

OK, just gotta share this with someone.
My 8 year old daughter was watching reruns of Full House today, and it struck me that the Palin's voice is an EXACT match of the girl who plays the oldest daughter in that show, DJ.
Listen for yourself. It's spooky. Maybe we can get Bob Saget to come wrap his arm around Palin and tell her that it's just not right to lie...then send her back to her room in Alaska and ground her for a couple of months...and no tanning bed privileges either!

O/T the text of the bill for the bailout is up at Firedoglake. Gottalaff posted the salient points here:
http://thepoliticalcarnival.blogspot.com/2008/09/paulsons-blank-check.html
This is a MUST read as parts of it are absolutely outrageous! Paulson will be given $700 billion to do with as he sees fit with NO oversight & NO judicial review. READ IT and write to your senators NOW to get changes made to it. SERIOUSLY!

This has the stench of "Last Call!" at the Republican dive bar called the White House.
No oversight
No accountability
No redress
No limit
NO MORE!!
I say let the Economy burn until Nov 5th and then the President-elect calls the shots on how this bailout gets structured - if at all.
I'm not falling for another one of those we have to act NOW because "We don't want the evidence to come in the form of a mushroom cloud" extortion moves.
Let the stockholders loan $$ to their own investments - defer salaries - sell-off assets - yes, layoffs if need be. Spend money through the unemployment insurance system and emergency loans for mortgage holders, and support those who are the victims. Anyone with money in the market knew the risk. When I call last call I make sure everyone pays their tab before they walk out - or in some cases (like this) before I throw 'em out on their fat white asses.

Yes, LiveFree. Every one of us should be supremely pissed off by this!
It's Sat. and a lot of people aren't paying attention, but they need to. We need a massive email campaign to our Congressmen before the act on this bill, since they're all stressing how urgent the situation is, and they have to act NOW, etc.
BTW, I don't know if you saw that I posted another comment after our brief exchange yesterday. You were right in what you were saying. I was at work and wasn't getting news about the bailout plan, so I was focusing solely on the AIG bailout.

It's called an okey doke ......... not to be confused with okey dokey!
It's a sister to the methodology known as, "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, just baffle 'em with bull shit!"
It's the bastard child of liars!!!!!!!!!!!
It's like McBush's answers on regulation of the markets, he's for it, and then again he's against it!
The question is valid though, if we exploit our own environment to increase oil production, is that oil just going to go on the world market?
Of course it is!
So will OPEC reduce production to keep the price infated?
Of course they will!
It's like a dog chasing it's tail!

I have a worry!
Why did they choose Ole Miss for the first debate?
Sends shivers up my spine!

She's giving a demonstration of why McCain won't let her have an open debate. She's completely incoherent: talking out of both sides of her mouth and other unidentified orifices simultaneously.

oh, and btw, Bill. It's only stolen property if individual citizens do it. If the government does it it's called "intelligence".

LiveFree, that video is hilarious. He reminds me of the embittered, always-drunk guy down the pub. "This is the way it is because I believe it and no one will tell me otherwise." Of course, in the end, these people have just been left behind by the rest of us, and, ultimately, live very confused lives. It's tragic, really.
