Have You Left No Sense Of Decency?
In case you missed her on Hardball last night, Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann is pushing for an investigation of un-American activities in the U.S. Congress. In other words, a new era of McCarthyism. This can't be allowed to stand. Watch the video and then sign the petition to call for a censure of Bachman.

Unbelievable. I emailed her this morning to say that I thought her comments were disgusting. I hope her opponent kicks her butt on election day.

As of a top rated Kos diary this am, since she spewed her hate last night her challenger has taken in over $100k for his campaign. Bummer huh Michelle?

I tried to send her an email, but since I don't live in her district (thankfully!) - I can't. Any way around this?

I used her local office's zipcode, Tanya.

I think there needs to be some manner of "Ask Bachmann" service where individual citizens can find out whether or not they are Unamerican. I don't know whether or not this should be in conjunction with or in competition against my proposed "Ask Sarah" service where individual citizens find out if the area where they live is Pro American or not.

John Boehner is my Rep, so I just sent him an email urging him to public condemn her statements and take action against her. I told him how it was dangerous to divide our country in such a way when we face threats from terrorism. Let's see what he says.

I cruised thru YouTube about her this morning - god, there's some hiliarious shit up about her. Scary, but funny as hell. How she was ever elected is beyond me.
Check out some of the links (and yeah, you'll laugh, even though she's serious)

Bachmann is also on Facebook. I left this comment there:
I was shocked and appalled by your 'performance' on last night's Hardball with Chris Matthews. To ignite that kind of fear, ignorance and hatred in this day and age is simply unacceptable and dangerous. We expect more from our Representatives and I hope that this upcoming election will reflect that expectation. I strongly suspect that you hope to ride on the coattails of Sarah Palin and her own brand of 'folksy' McCarthyism in a skirt and I think you do yourself and your country a great disservice.
You never mention any specifics when you accuse Senator Barack Obama of being anti-American and grasp desperately at the straw that is his at best casual connection to Bill Ayers. My suspicion is that you accuse him of not coming clean simply because he's not saying what you want to hear.

I am America. I am! With my notions of freedom of thought, my wall of books in my home, my hope for all the world, my support for the best mind and strongest character for president regardless of the color of his skin. That is America.
On Nov 4th I hope that we intend to say it so loudly and so clearly that the part of America John McCain and Sarah Palin are attempting to ride into power, the part of America that is intolerance, fear, ignorance and hate will be cleansed from our body politic for many, many years to come. And that my friends is how a Real Republican thinks and acts. This year a real American who happens to be Republican is voting Democratic.
Contribute or write to the man running against Bachmann (small electorate every $5 or $10 really means something, please!

At last check, her opponent, Elwyn Tinklenberg, has raised over $183K since last night:

I even threw $10 in there, and I'm in Alaska.

gawd, this is funny. El T is raking in the cash from special interest donors from outside the district! Are you people anti-MN6? I think we need to know more about you so-called "Americans," so I'm going on a fact finding mission.
Seriously, I know people that live "up" there. Republicans all. It's a big weirdly-shaped district. They were fooled once. Way to campaign, Michele.
