Ditto. Your Huffpost columns are always good value.
Today, I've been off sick from work and feeling pretty wretched, but it means I've had hours to spend catching up with the all the politics blogs, and getting myself revved up for next week.

Yeah, I'm sick today, too. Wicked head cold. I'd rather have full-on monkey flu than your run-of-the-mill head cold. Feel like complete shit.
But I got today's Afternoon Awesome up for you bitches, because I roll that way.

Had the cold last week and the accompanying sinus infection coming on now. And got the crying jag now over the video you posted. And stuff. I'll go do laundry--that kills most emotions. That mountain fresh smell or someshit.

Elvis - if you've got the same headcold had, do everything in your power to stop the drip down your throat. I usually don't mind a cold, but the one I had made me cry - my throat hurt so bad I threatened over and over to either go to the emergency room or reach down my throat and perform a self-tonsillectomy. I finally dragged my butt to the doctor who gave me good advice (600 mg of advil) which at least dulled the pain, but it's now on week 3 and I'm still a little drippy.

Just a silly observation, but I was reading through comments over at The Carnival when it struck me that everyone's using Tweety over there too. Wonder how long it will be before it makes it all the way to the MSM! I can see it showing up on Colbert or TDS.

Did it start here? Or was it picked up somewhere else?
I still say I was the first to call Walmart "Wallyworld", maybe 15 years ago and because of the National Lampoon Vacation movie. I had never heard it when I first said it. Now I hear it all the time. And grumble at not getting credit for my own viral word.

Tweety started with his staff.
McCain's whining about Obama's 1/2 hour ad.
Brian Williams is doing an interview with Obama on tomorrow evening's news.

And the MSNBC scroll says that's the US is shutting down its embassy in Damascus - rather than apologizing to Syria as it asked, apparently.

No apologies. Ever. Bush and Co. are such typical bullies.
Ha LOL DeLay just said Michele Bachmann is a brilliant congressperson. Funniest thing I've heard all day.

Tom DeLay needs to quit hitting the crack pipe.

DeLay is a DeLiar and he's making me angry; Hulk style.
The way republicans spew lies like it's truth and get away with it makes me ill. They should be brought up on charges.

Well, DeLay has been, Incredulous. Just hasn't had those charges tried, yet. Unlike Ted Stevens, he didn't push for a speedy trial.

LOL DeLiar.
Next time we have a live-blogging night we should put "de" in front of the drinking words.

Hey CEU: I meant all of them (republicans). Teach them a damn lesson about slander; those fuckers.
DP: I'm practicing words as a type. LOL!
