(count me in, Jane)

Posted by: dontpanic23 [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 5:44 PM

So is that a ponytail? Or the hair just seems to pull back?

Sheesh, I need to remember that this is politics. I'll shut up now.

Posted by: dontpanic23 [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 5:50 PM

Watched, laughed, and still think you're cuter than both of your friends. Sorry....

The GOP is really desperate for Al Franken to not win.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:02 PM

DP, he makes Richard Wolfe look like Milhouse, and Craig Ferguson look like John Kerry.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:03 PM

JM, your new mission is to think like Rachel, but look like Bob.

Or talk like Bob but look like Rachel.

Or something.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:06 PM

I don't know how Mr. The Bob Cesca feels about this idea, but I'd sort of like to see the two of us co-host a Bloggingheadesque video chit-chat, wherein I play Jerry Lewis to his Dean Martin and we snark the living shit out of the day's political news. I think that'd be aces.

Of course such a project would require millions of dollars in Industrial Light & Magic SFX to CGI my ugliness into something more web-presentable, but once all you rich honkies buy his book, Bob can surely foot that bill, huzzah!

Posted by: Elvis Dingeldein [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:08 PM

ED, does that mean you get to tell the gay jokes?

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:13 PM

How does Jerry Lewis square the gay-bashing with his popularity in France? I'm fairly certain I've never met a straight Frenchperson.

Posted by: Elvis Dingeldein [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:16 PM

Well if you put a beared and mustache on Bob and added 10 or 15 years to me, we would probably be twins.

Wolffe does kind of resemble Millhouse.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:20 PM

HEATHER WILSON!!!! Aaaaah, so sorry you lost your primary and gave up your House seat!!! Ahhhhhh

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:20 PM

someone catch those rogue caterpillars on Heather Wilson's face

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:22 PM

Sigh... my new evangelical south-eastern kentucky accented noises neighbors just got home.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:24 PM

Im not going to finish coloring this sequential page before KO comes on.

I knew I should have skipped dinner >.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:29 PM

JM, I can't even think about having to stop and eat for the next week. Or sleep.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:36 PM

Jane--Wolffe is OUT (Ha, Milhouse, good one). Ferguson is...half out (the accent is too cute to toss). And JM, yup. But keep the beard. Beard is good. And the ponytail. I'm still not sure if that's what I'm seeing/imagining on The Bob. Please fill in the blanks on that possible feature.

(JM, turn KO up to highest volume. Chances are they are Palinites and deserve worse but it's a start)

Elvis-You would be the Anti-Redstate guys. Where do I send the check?

Posted by: dontpanic23 [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:39 PM

Why is that?

I've got 5 full pages to color this week. I only got 1 done today. I'm doing them for a Graphic Novel.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:39 PM

I guess missed the ponytail part. I don't have one of those.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:45 PM

I was wondering if a ponytail is what I'm seeing (or imagining) behind Bob's head. His hair could go either way at the sides.

Posted by: dontpanic23 [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:46 PM

KO...

Posted by: dontpanic23 [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:47 PM

DP & Jane - we can't toss out Wolffe! He's still got the cute little accent. Granted, Ferguson's is cuter (and he makes me want to meow too), but I still love me some Wolfie.

JM - the beard is debatable. I've always been more fond of the goatee. And a ponytail? That would depend on your hair.

I'm gonna have to flip back and forth between Chuck and KO tonight. I love me some Chuck too.

Posted by: KatinWilm [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:49 PM

Couch time with KO.

Its sad I look forward to KO the whole weekend.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:50 PM

35 dollar wedding ring?

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:52 PM

I'd call Pelosi and Reid a lot of things, but "the most liberal" wouldn't be one them.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 6:55 PM

I can't stand Elizabeth Hasselbeck, or however her name is spelled. I don't care enough to look it up...just thought I'd mention I really really really can't stand her.

Hey! Just figured out how to login from my kindle! Elvis, I love the idea, and don't believe you about your looks. But even if true, we ladies can now daydream about your...endowments. Or stare stupidly at the screen and wave at Bob! You know, different strokes and all that. -QT

I just realized that McConnell not asking Stevens to resign will probably be used against McConnell here in KY in tv ads within a day or two. Good I say.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:19 PM

Elvis is a hottie too. Think Anderson Cooper, but less gay, more Rob Riggly.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:24 PM

Sorry for the doublepost. I got a msg saying I wasn't allowed to post and then it posted anyway... -QT

Posted by: QueenTiye [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:26 PM

I think all the guys should post pictures.

Posted by: idreamofskiba [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:35 PM

LOL, Jane! That's an interesting image!

One of the posters at Laffy's said that Palin is probably hoping for Stevens to be reelected. If he's sent to prison (John Rowland get a year & a day in federal prison for essentially the same crime) or resigns she will get to name his successor...and it could very well be herself. Interesting thought, and likely right.

Posted by: ceu [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:38 PM

Chad Michael Morrisette - today's worst person in the world.
Yup - gotta agree with that one.

Posted by: ceu [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:42 PM

Jane: tx for confirming. thought so! idream: 2nded. ceu: that's scary ambitious!

Posted by: QueenTiye [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:44 PM

Skiba - I agree!

And I'm with you, ceu. I'm glad KO called that idiot out for such a stupid stunt.

We are such whores.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:49 PM

I prefer slut, Jane. Whores require money. Sluts just want to have fun.

Posted by: KatinWilm [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:52 PM

Ignorant sluts.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 7:56 PM

Mark McKinnon (on Rachel) gets the "D'Oh" award for the day: "We're still going to have an election next Tuesday." Really? What a fucking genius.

Posted by: KatinWilm [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:00 PM

Why must I live in Kentucky? I could use some intelligent politicaly minded sluts around here. All we have here are the dumber-than-shit politicaly indifferent variety.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:02 PM

Nawth Cacalacky apparently has a high percentage of intelligent, politically minded sluts. If the GDAB community was the polling group, of course.

Posted by: KatinWilm [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:15 PM

Howard Dean is talking down Rachel? For some reason, that strikes me as exceptionally funny.

Posted by: KatinWilm [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:15 PM

Aggggggh, sorry JM, I started a ponytail rumor that was meant for Bob. Kat, I was just wondering if that was what I saw behind Bob's head.

Yeah, Wolffe is still cute. I lost my mind for a few minutes. He was overridden by The Bob.

Elvis, what QT said. Twice. :-) And Elvis a less gay Cooper? Whoa, that's hot.

I'm glad someone (and it was Jane) finally brought out the line "Jane, you ignorant slut". It wasn't usable when Kat said she was a slut.

I can't talk politics tonight because I sat down to KO and fell fast asleep. Shit.

G'night the rest of the way...Damn.

Posted by: dontpanic23 [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:19 PM

Kat, blah blah blah. Such as, also.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:21 PM

That army report saying Twitter is a threat is possibly the most idiotic waste of time and money and oxygen ever.

Twitter? There are better ways to communicate in real-time.

I guess terrorists dont scare people anymore, so the army has to drum up fear of social websites.

Gotta have a boogeyman.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:25 PM

JM, they're not just drumming up fear. I'm sure they eavesdrop the twitter t00bs too.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:34 PM

Have y'all seen the clip posted on the Political Carnival (cross-promotion) with Obama spokesman Bill Burton on Faux News? Damn, that boy did a good job. I hope he was wearing a cup.

Ohh...Rachel just said Junior Johnson is supporting Obama! That should help in DP's neck of the woods!

Posted by: KatinWilm [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:36 PM

Damn im getting tired early tonight. Atleast I made it through KO and most of Maddow. Season changes kill me.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:38 PM

The dead Wright horse drug out again. Time to beat it some more.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:40 PM

They're so desparate...disgusting. Maybe Obama will counteract it with clips from the Philadelphia speech.

Posted by: ceu [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:43 PM

Who TF is Junior? He emailed me today.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:44 PM

As a non-religious person, a witchdoctor dispelling witchcraft from Palin is 1000% more wingnutty than some reverend damning america for its policies. Infact im not offended at all by what Wright said. But I do believe Palin is an idealogical religious nutjob.

Posted by: J M Ashby [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:47 PM

Junior Johnson is an old moonshine runner from the NC mountains who went on to own his own NASCAR team with drivers like Darrel Waltrip. He's one of the elder statesmen of NASCAR, which is heavily right-wing, so having Junior break ranks is actually a pretty big deal.

Posted by: KatinWilm [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:51 PM

I think Obama should let Dean introduce him when he makes his acceptance speech...by running down the list of states that lead him to victory, building up his energy with every name, until after reading out the last one he lets loose with his now famous "Dean Scream" Yeeeeeaaaahhh!!!!!

That would bookend the decade nicely for me.

Posted by: LiveFreeOrDie08 [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 8:52 PM

Did I see this link here? Ah who cares.

Turn up your volume and click on a few things in the picture.

Posted by: jane [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 9:02 PM

Junior Johnson is supporting Barack? That's huge. The McCain camp has had folks at three of the recent NASCAR races. I think most fans are too busy doing race day activities to pay much attention to them though. But having a legend like Junior Johnson come out for Obama is quite a statement.

Posted by: Alan4s [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 9:11 PM

Wow! :) Happy news! I kinda wish Obama had carried through with his idea of sponsoring a NASCAR car.

Cool! :)

QT

So lets talk about why Obama was right to reject public financing!

Look at the number of anti-Obama ads running now that ARE NOT financed by the RNC or McCain!

Obama is smart!

Everyone's gone to bed, but I have to share this:

Unsung Heros

Not everyone!

MR. C !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Jed Report reports that Chuck Hagel endorsed Barack Obama today!

http://www.jedreport.com/shipjumpers/

Posted by: NotAPollStat [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 10:14 PM

AWESOME! I'm glad Chuck Hagel is finally on board! :)

QT

Posted by: QueenTiye [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 10:16 PM

I hadn't realized that Hagel was black...

Posted by: ceu [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 10:21 PM

LOL! Don't go stealing Bob's thunder. We were supposed to wake up to that revelation (that Hagel was black).

QT

Posted by: QueenTiye [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 10:36 PM

Oh, ok - just went to the Jed Report site. It's a little less than an endorsement. Jed's keeping a list of "ship jumpers" from the McCain camp - which doesn't necessarily mean a ship jumper TO the Obama camp.

QT

Posted by: QueenTiye [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 10:38 PM

I've been waiting for some smart ass like me to ask McCain how he felt about our cross-border raid into Syria.

Now, he's been clear that that's just wrong! He nailed Obama on it in two debates!

How about about John, heh, heh, heh?

Posted by: kansasdem [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 11:14 PM

Larry King Live is great!

The Palin supporters are total boobs!

Posted by: kansasdem [TypeKey Profile Page] at October 27, 2008 11:18 PM

Damn, I missed the Junior Johnson email discussion. I got it too and sent it to someone who works at a flucking flea market that sells nascar shit and told him to make POSTERS of the fucker and put them on every stall, wall and glass display.

If we had a comment of the night segment, this one was great and should be nominated:

"As a non-religious person, a witchdoctor dispelling witchcraft from Palin is 1000% more wingnutty than some reverend damning america for its policies. Infact im not offended at all by what Wright said. But I do believe Palin is an idealogical religious nutjob.--JM Ashby

Bob! Er, The Bob! We need a morning after followup thread for those of us who fell asleep during the good stuff. Ah, ya snooze, ya lose.

And I hope we aren't embarrassing you with all this adoration stuff. We love you for your mind. But as you've probably noticed around here, combining it with looks get several us all atwitter too. Ask Anderson Cooper and Richard Wolffe. And Rachel Maddow. And Elvis and JM.

Good morning, folks! Dumbshit here will try to stay awake for tonight's discussion.
