Self-Parody
The Republicans chose Sarah Palin entirely because of optics -- how she looks. The visual. A former beauty queen with a pretty, pretty smile (ugh). And now they're outraged when they're called out for their flagrant superficiality? That's hilarious...ly awful.

Reminder to self! Never watch FOX news clips too early to start drinking!

She hasn't "done our couch yet"---there's a scary thought.
And George Washington with his lovely teeth is rolling over and doing flip flops in his grave.

Aren't these the same people who complained about John Edwards $400 haircut. Does their hypocrisy know no bounds.

I wish our media would finally get the memo that this woman is a complete fraud.

Eh, to me there are worse things than this about Palin, like the fact that she's hilariously underqualified for the VP position or the fact that she's apparently never read the Constitution or the fact that she has 'palled' around with secessionists or that she has no regard for animal rights and that she believes in witch craft. I could go on. This is just another nail in the McPalin coffin--it's trivial by now to even keep pointing them out. This campaign is at the point where the turkey timer popped-out thirty minutes ago. "Stick a fork in 'er, she's done" doesn't do it justice. They might as well just get a fire extinguisher ready.

Seems to me, if you’re going to spend $150,000 on clothes you should probably hire someone from your own party to do the shopping. I mean you can’t very well expect Governor Palin to know that she should be wearing elephants on the silk scarf – not donkeys, right?

"According to another poll by Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, opinions of Palin have flipped in the last month, especially among the female voters she was expected to attract to the McCain ticket." (huffpo)
Interestingly, this is backfiring in part because there are a lot of "dudes" showing up at her rallies. They like Sarah because (ugh) they think she's hot. Now, that can't possibly be what women--even simple-minded ones--want, can it?
ALSO.
As soon as the campaign becomes about the VP, and not the P, that can't possibly be good, can it? How about that Sarah Palin? Hah?! HAH?!!

150,000 is 375 times as much as the haircut(s) Edwards got which FOX thought was so fiscally irresponsible. So now they can eat it for 375 times as long. Hypocrisy, thy name is FOX!

"superficiality" is right, Bob. I'm convinced that it's Obama/Biden's sense of purpose, a proper vision and values system, and McCain/Palin's lack of it, that's the main cause of the likely O/B win and M/P loss.
McCain and Palin are simply an empty void:
