How To Tell People They Sound Racist

by Lee Stranahan

This was released a few months ago but I just found it last night and it seems appropriate given the upswing in crazy.

Damn Lee, that was GODDAMN awesome.

P.S. Reading up on the Dennis Miller threads: I hope the flak you got didn't scare you away from expression. While I agree with some commenters that Dennis Miller IS a racist and an asshole, I also hope not to come across as dismissing him entirely just because I disagree with his viewpoints sometimes, thus being a stupid Republican in my thinking.

Stay gold, Pony Boy.

Nice vid. I'm always grateful for any refresher in Logic 101. Especially one as visually entertaining as this one.

Nice, but I would still like to see a greater push for it actually being pretty racist to even divide the one human race into various other races. By agreeing that race is a valid term, you're giving the racists one of the three legs they need to stand on to make their point (the other two being that some races are superior to others, the third that they should be treated accordingly). Seems to me it would make some sense to not even give them that.

Excellent. " Criticize the behavior , not the person." Unless your name is Hannity, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Drudge, Hindraker, etc.

My 88 y/o mother-in-law couldn't vote for McCain ( life long Democrat ), so she didn't vote :" who could vote for a n****r anyway ? " Did I point out that her comments were racist ? Are you fucking kidding me ?

Oh wow! I can't begin to say how many times I've had this conversation! On another board (my online home community) I serve as a moderator - and this is always the argument. Post! Not POSTER! Argue about the post, not the poster! And yea - the "that's racist" versus "you're a racist" issue. Over and over again. I can't believe someone made a video about it - and at that, one that makes so much sense! Yes, this will be circulated, over and over again - by me!

Teaflax: Yeah. The earth is one country, and mankind its citizens. So say the Baha'i Writings, but we're a long way off from that ideal.
