Newsweek's Special Obama Issue

Capturing a photo of Axelrod smiling like this is like capturing a photo of a sasquatch. Rare and out of focus. More excellent photos from the campaign in the Newsweek commemorative issue.
Incidentally, I've been hearing predictions that advertisers will shy away from political content -- both online and in print. And I'm wondering if these writers have updated their media playbooks from the 1999 edition. This is the Obama era, and everyone is a political junkie now.

LOL! Nano - he rocks that fade pretty well if you ask me... ;) And - I'm not so sure about the "back." Thanks to the hip hop generation, all kinds of black hair is "in." Which I like quite a lot.
Bob - so, when is Camp Chaos coming out with its Obama flick?

Oh - one more thing. What precisely is Obama saying in that picture? I mean - he's all casual, laid back, and talking sh*t, and Axelrod and Biden are cracking up. At least it looks like that to me...

Thank you for taking me to the site so I could order one of these special editions. (I still have a JFK one from LIFE that my parents saved, a boxfull of special editions of mags I got after Lennon was shot, and it's great to celebrate a LIVE person with one (shredding fingers knocking on wood). Yes, my house is packed and my kids will someday sift through my ashes and kill me again). The crazy file lady.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I might have missed it.

What an awesome photo. I had been meaning to order it, so I did as well this evening. And thanks for the great idea, LFOD, I had mine addressed to my 8 year old son. :)
