Obama's Weekly YouTube Address
2.5 million new jobs in two years? Wow. If they do it, we're looking at more pickups in Congress in 2010, and, barring any major mistakes, easy reelection in 2012.

Rebuilding roads & schools & creating wind farms - sounds like public works projects to me. YEAH! :) But even if it's not public works, the jobs can still be created. For prospective: in Dec 1992 the unemployment rate was 7.4%. By Dec 1994, it was down to 5.5%. When Clinton was leaving office, in Dec 2000, it was at 3.9%. Granted things are worse now than in 1992, however, during Clinton's tenure in office the Dow went up, tax revenues increased, people's personal wealth increased, and the national debt went down. It CAN be done again.

If P.E. Obama can keep the Chamber of Commerce's tentacles at bay, this could go really well for the nation as a whole.
And not even kidding, I made a blog post demanding public works infrastructure projects just last night. Should have wished harder for Jack in the Box expanding to Alabama while I was at it.

I'm a fairly reasonable guy! Once you get over the fact that I'm insanely jealous of Western European-style social programs and enjoy the savory taste of alligator meat, that is.

What was the bright blue background behind his head? Was he sitting in front of a window?
Oh, good plan, by the way.
