On the Air
Here in eastern Pennsylvania, every MSNBC commercial break tonight has featured the Rev. Wright commercial from the National Republican Trust PAC. Every single break. The "I survived an abortion and Obama is a baby killer" commercial is mixed in there, too.

Not in CT -at least not the abortion one. We've seen very few political ads. Getting the Rev Wright one with the second reference to God bleeped out. Someone needs to explain to me why it's ok to leave "God bless America" intact, but the God in "God damn America" is bleeped...
Saw an Obama ad a while ago. Just him talking about his plan - I think it's a 1 minute ad but he could be 2. Very positive. Very effective.

We've only got the Wright one here in IN, every third or so break. No abortion one so far.

Here in the Hudson Valley we got the Wright commercial, an MSNBC commercial, and then the Paul Simon commercial. I thought it was "fair and balanced."
But then I couldn't put up with the pundits yammering, so I let my son have the t.v.

Saw the "Crisis" ad from RightChange.com last night during the late local news here in NC. It's pretty douchey. It includes footage of the Twin Towers on fire and a "dramatization" of terrorists building and setting off a car bomb downtown in a city near you.
Seen the "HATE He Could Believe In" ad on TV a lot here, too. Forecast calls for rain in NC tomorrow.

Unbelievable . . . I live in Chicago and they are playing Rev Wright every break here too. Chicago?? Really McCain?

re: Wright ad
Same here in NW PA (and we're solidly Dem. even though Ridge hometown.) The ad was playing ALL DAY on MSNBC twice every half hour, until like Mr. C said, every commercial primetime.
No other McCain ads though, YET.

So tonight while the Republicans run desperate character assassination ads, Obama gives a moving, tearful eulogy to his late grandmother.
If I ever hear another Republican make some attack on Obama's character or lack of faith. It will take everything in me not to punch them between the eyes.

Same ads playing here in Oklahoma too. Sheer desperation. I argued this very thing with someone today. I asked about Hagee, but they didn't see anything wrong with him. He's white, after all.

I'm in Massachusetts (close to the Rhode Island border) and the Wright ad has been playing all night on MSNBC and CNN. WTF? Neither of these states is even close to being tossups.

Same in CT, Crystal. Last ditch effort, but heck, if they want to waste their money here, let 'em. I doubt any minds will be changed.
Heard on Rachel that there are GOP robocalls that tell people they can vote by phone tomorrow rather than going to the polls. Western PA & Nevada has apparently been targeted.

I self imposed a news blackout for the day until about 5:30 when I heard about Obama's grandmother passing away. I've soley been focused on MSNBC on and off and the Rev. Wright commercial has played at least 3 or 4 times per hour here in New York City. It goes to show you the ineptitude of the McCain campaign spending precious resources on advertising in a state they have no chance of making a dent in.
