Also official, according to the Politico.

Here's Gibbs turning Hannity into a puddle of goo:

YES! I love that guy. He has no discernible blood pressure but is brilliant as hell and great at talking to the media. And in full, non-cheerleader- term speckled sentences, even! Can I add any more hyphens to that sentence? Dana Perino, eat your heart out.

I love this choice. Gibbs is awesome.

I am a big fan of Gibbs--smart, measured, tough. I really do feel that one component of the Obama admin should be push back on the media. This whole "liberal media" label is a farce, and it works to their disadavntage. Obama has pushed back on Fox, and I think this is very smart. They also need to to push on the BBQ media as well, when necessary. I am already seeing the corporate BBQ ers go subtly and skeptically go after Obama's every move--something entirely absent from their coverage of Bush. and now that Bush has broken the country, the narrative is, "oh, he's leaving in two months..." The media component of this admin will be key IMO--especially the need to push back from time to time.

Sean Hannity, what a douche. I love the debate polling at the bottom of the screen; just in case you forget which channel you're tuned in to.

Don't know much about Gibbs, but he seems very level-headed. Hard to get a word in edgewise when talking to the likes of Hannity, but he manages ok.

I love Gibbs, too. It amazes me that he can go on Morning Joe and while Joe inevitably mocks him on a personal level every time, Gibbs always remains calm, cool and collected. And what Gibbs did to Hannity is one of the high points of the campaign!

But was he popular in High School? THAT's the criteria, people! Stay FOCUSED!!

Any bets on where Mr. Axelrod ends up? That guy deserves an Oscar, Emmy, Heisman, and a Superbowl Ring.

After the last eight years this seems like such a bold, innovative approach ------ picking people QUALIFIED for administration positions.

This might just catch on...............

Sean "no middle name" Hannity is an anagram for "I, Nasty Mean Hel-Demon."

Why is it that the most successful right-wing pundits are all blowhards whose main schtick is talking over people? I've never seen Gibbs before, but he really holds up well to the constant barrage from Hannity. Good call.

God, how I would love to see someone take that goddamn pen that Hannity always has in his right hand and "make it disappear" like that trick the Joker pulled in The Dark Knight. ;)

Grace under pressure is a totally underrated quality.
