Bob! You have a little Icon Thingie on my toolbar! Just like Amazon and Ebay but better!

Now I have to fight to post about it. That's so cool--a little guy in overalls next to a mailbox or a birdcage, not sure which but I love it. going for glasses

Posted by: dontpanic23 [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 22, 2008 8:38 PM

Posted on first login. Typewad knows I'm armed with a cookie and getting ready to hurl it.

Man, I love that little icon. I don't keep words on my toolbar so I can cram 50 things across there at my fingertips. Yours and fantasticfiction.uk were the only two with a regular white paper icon. Now there is one. The little things sometimes just make my day. Now let's see if Typewad will let me tell about it.

(adding: first login after fighting with it an hour ago on another thread and having to login 6-7 times and move to IE. Now back to Firefox to find the little surprise on my toolbar--shut up, DP, it's just an icon mufff foozle)

Hi, Jane. Help me.

Ooooh, a complaint form getting glasses again. Thanks, Bob. Complain I can do, in case you hadn't noticed.

And did I mention that I really love the little icon? (Doesn't take a lot to please some folks, eh?)

I'm having no problems with typepad, other than constantly having to sign in. I'm using Safari on a Mac, if that helps anyone? Although, I can't see the little icon! I'm jealous!

Here's an interesting thing I've found. When I clicked on the link to sign in, I didn't put in my username & password. I left those fields blank & clicked on "join for free" and got brought back here, all signed in & ready to go. Don't know if it will last, but it was a damn sight easier than the last time I posted (hours ago) and had to sign in 6 times (yes, I counted - I'm a capricorn & that's what we do) before being able to post - by which I'd forgotten the scintillating comment I wanted to make.

Robin Williams on Graham Norton tonight - we're 1 minute in and he's already ripping on Palin. Pass the popcorn :)

It must be exciting over at your blog, too, MG?

Posted by: PackyJ [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 22, 2008 10:06 PM

Packy, whatever happened to the idea of you starting your own blog?

Posted by: ceu [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 22, 2008 10:16 PM

Ceu -
Hell, then I'd have to think of something interesting to post about every day, and be a constant source of witty rejoinder and repartee.

It's a lot less work to use the "hit-and-run"
tactic I employ now.

Posted by: PackyJ [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 22, 2008 10:31 PM

Ah. [not an intelligent comment, but it seemed impolite not to acknowledge that you answered my question. :)]

Politeness is appreciated. There's far too little of it these days.

I repeat, from my undisclosed location, IS THIS ON???

In reading Andy Borowitz's newest article about Barack Obama speaking in full sentences over at Huffpo, and the article from Lee Camp over at 23/6 about the quiz the American people made Obama take to ensure he won't screw up the world like Bush did, it seems that in hubbub over Obama's victory and transition, we've lost sight of the sheer amount of ways in which the Bush administration has epically screwed up the world. It seems we forget the small things in focusing on the big things -- we focus on the Iraq war and slowly forget about the politicizing of the Justice Department. The blow to the English language was terrible enough. I think we should all take a minute every so often to remind ourselves exactly the ways in which we all got screwed. And then to remind ourselves that there's a lot of work to do, but that it can be done.
Someone should make a website: Ways In Which The Bush Admin Screwed Up. Dot com. Should just be one long list, all hyperlinked to news stories.
/End rant.
