Thanks, Cminri, I wasn't even aware of it. I'm in the hills. We rarely get them like the piedmont, sandhills and coast. We came close last fall, one went right around us about 5 miles--watched it on that fancy new radar on the teevee--and terrified my daughter. She was just off the plane from Scotland (land of no tornadoes) and gathered the dogs (all seven) and me back in the bedroom with the tv and walk-in closet, acting like flying monkeys had been dispatched. She was my fearful child and never outgrew it.

I do hope those to my south and east are OK. Which would have to be all the rest of them 'cause I'm almost as northwest as you can get without stepping into another state.

Glad to hear you're okay DP. No sooner had I posted that and they announced a tornado watch for my area (RI)! That almost never happens around here. I can count on one hand how many we've had in my entire life. The wind is howling and its really warm for this time of year. Im a little apprehensive, cuz its just my 10 year old son (Corey) and me alone for the evening. Husband's band is playing a gig about 40 miles away.

Cminri, keep a local weather channel or radio on. They can pinpoint those babies down to a city block these days. Keep a closet cleaned out and hang on.

CM - seriously? A tornado? Wow. I was looking at the radar and it's not showing any storms over RI, but some major ones in western CT moving north. Northampton's about to get whalloped.

ceu - just under a tornado watch at this point. (as are you I think). Wind is howling but no storms right now. I think a cold front is coming through by midnight. (Check the Weather Channel). Should hit your area an hour or 2 before it gets here. And about Joe...we dont want him dead...just deboned.

QT - I had that day yesterday (with a giant family crisis). I'm sorry it moved on to someone else, in whatever form. Hang in there.
