That's EXACTLY The Obama I Voted For

by Dirty Lee Stranahan

My newest Huffington Post piece is posted here. Here's a short quote...pretend you're talking in a menacing voice while brandishing a weapon at Joe Lieberman.

But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin'. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.

Stevens is out -- in the world of politics, I'm far happier about his loss than Lieberman's "win" today...

This is requiring a lot of faith in Obama, but I imagine I'm willing to give it to him. I sure hope you're right. I'm trying to - as Bob suggested - just chill.

And 'Dirty Lee' - miaow!

I am coming around to the decision on Lieberman. The effectively defanged him. Obama diffused this distraction--he would have been on Fiexed News every night yappin away.

The Clinton matter is different because it the Clintons are one BIG distraction--I still do not like this choice--I hope she turns it down. Then it really is a win-win for Obama.

Nice piece, Lee. Agreed on all fronts; people don't recognize it, because they've never seen it. Imagine, someone who actually does what they say they're going to do after they're elected...

In other news:

Stevens Loses!!

I've always felt that Tarantino was an overrated screen writer, and that quoted sections is a large part of why I think so. It's one thing to make up a Bible quote, but even I who is no expert on "The Good Book" can tell right away that that's no authentic Bible quote, not to mention that it's a whole lot longer than one verse.

And I've made peace with the idea that Obama knows so much more about what the hell he is doing than I could even hope to, so for now, I just ride with it and wait for the outcome. He's already achieved the impossible getting to where he is today, so I expect him to keep pulling rabbits out of hats for a while yet.

It's been said differently than this (and since no thought is original, I'm sure exactly like this), but we should rejoice in the fact that we have, for the first time in maybe 20+ years, a president who plays CHESS, while everyone else is scrambling around the checkerboard.

As in september, when the Palin sky was falling, we need to trust in Obama as he's likely playing 5 moves ahead of everyone else. The Lieberman thing being the best current example.

In essence, the media lords over the checkerboard. So when we read or hear about some decision of Obama's that we deem "disappointing", we need to step back and think about it from the Chess point of view.

Well, now that you've introduced swearing into things, I feel totally alright about the left getting the shaft at every turn. Triangulation is back and better than ever, eh wot.

(Some wonder how Barack Obama can so easily forgive or be so non-critical.)

"Alice Bailey in "Esoteric Psychology II" says there are three characteristics of a server who has made Soul contact.
1. Harmlessness in thought, acts and speech.
2. A willingness to let others serve in their own way. This is a big idea! Let others serve as they can without interfering. Why? Because their souls will direct their service, not us. We are to do our service and let others express their service. We help others by standing beside them as they serve, giving them encouragement and opportunities.
3. Joyfulness which is a quality of the soul.

There is a group of people in the world leading us into this age of service. Alice Bailey calls them the New Group of World Servers. This group of subjective servers has no outer form or organization. There is not even a list of members. They do not know each other by name. Through their service to humanity we recognize them. These individuals are a cross section of all races, religions, nations and organizations concerned with the welfare of humanity. The New Group of World Servers are busy leaders in every field, who mobilize people, resources and ideas forming the new world.

Their mission is inspiring people to believe in the essential oneness of humanity, the One Humanity. Their goal is to attract people of goodwill to work together without fanaticism, hatred, or separatism, to build a new world order. They do not force others to see the new view of the world. Instead, they present clear, concise, understandable ideas that people can identify with and actualize. These ideas, turned into ideals, stimulate all who come into contact with them. People want to join them to work for a better world."
