Very Serious Question

What happened to all of the "Oh noes! We're Gonna Lose!" advice that the president-elect was getting in the beginning of September?

The Chicken Littles started to shut up after Black Wednesday, when the bottom fell out of the markets and McCain turned into a piece of flubber right before the first debate. By the next week it was clear McCain had nowhere to go but down.

Bob, After I screamed at my TV or Laptop for months I lost my voice. That doesn't mean I didn't write about every damn day. However, Pres. Elect. Obama is just a better and SMARTER man than I. Here is a serious question. Have any of you ever asked for a Pres. that is smarter than you? I am not the brightest bulb in the box but I think I am. Here is a true measure of super intellect from our new Pres. He scored a 180 on his LSAT. I studied for weeks and scored a 150 which is pretty good. I now have a Pres. that is 20 times smarter and more compassionate than I.

Is it me, or is the media going overboard on coverage of Malia and Sascha? They should not be covered at all--their schools, anything. Not to sound like a chicken little myself, but they should be completely off limits, and not part of the media discussion whatsoever.

Did anyone else find it strange that the Secret Service code names of the Obama family were reported on the news? Like, what part of 'Secret' am I missing here? Or is this something that is revealed with every new First Family?

Hell, I'm still suffering from "oh no" fever!

I watch Obama and I know he's a deliberate but cautious man, possibly the best President I've seen in my lifetime, and I almost shit myself!

Can things really be this good? I honestly think something must fuck this up!

We've replaced the worst of stinkers with the best of thinkers!

Yeah, I have a lot of oh noes too. Russia is upsetting me, because they seem to be wanting a new cold war, and financially, I don't know how we're supposed to finance one. And I don't like Joe Lieberman any more, and wish he could just go away. (I am hoping - seriously, that a democrat wins against him in Connecticut). Etc.

But - I feel very very very good, and confident about Obama's team building skills, his overall smarts, and his political savvy. In short - despite my worrying, which is more motherly than anything (my 12 year old looks like our new Prez-Elect, so I get it all mixed up, even though the Prez-Elect is older than me!), I'm confident that the nation is in good hands. :)

He sealed the deal.

Now we just have to deal with all these "warnings" about Obama trying to claim he has a mandate just because he got a bigger percentage of the popular vote than Bush ever did.

I got so sick of that. That's why I started reading HuffPo less and less.
