WTF?
Powerline's Assrocket made me perform a spit-take:
Bush never gets sloppy when he is speaking publicly. He chooses his words with care and precision, which is why his style sometimes seems halting. In the eight years he has been President, it is remarkable how few gaffes or verbal blunders he has committed. If Obama doesn't raise his standards, he will exceed Bush's total before he is inaugurated.
Assrocket is f-cking insane. Intellectual violence exemplified. This confounds logic. Not only is the president-elect one of the best orators in modern history, but he's far exceeds President Bush's level of intellectualism and erudition. In other words, a Bush gaffe reveals a lack of intellectual curiosity and -- well, President Bush is a doof. An Obama gaffe is an isolated incident. Nothing more.

It's gotta be a satirical comment. Has to be.

The quote above said "Bush never gets sloppy when he is speaking publicly. He chooses his words with care and precision, which is why his style sometimes seems halting. In the eight years he has been President, it is remarkable how few gaffes or verbal blunders he has committed. If Obama doesn't raise his standards, he will exceed Bush's total before he is inaugurated."
To this I replied - "I guess this person doesn't watch David Letterman's Great Moments in Presidential Speeches."

This is fantastic. How does Assrocket account for DAILY calendars filled with Bush gaffes. For fuck's sake, I include at least 3 or 4 a week in my blog. As a matter of fact, I'm going to add one right fucking now! I'll just pull out my handy, dandy Bushism desk calendar.
Done. That took less than a minute.

Bob, the blogger's name is Assrocket. Let's have a little perspective here. If the comment were coming from someone like Tom Brokaw or Andrea Mitchell I'd be fuming pissed. But Assrocket? That just makes me giggle.

I guess George W. B*sh is also a better dancer than Fred Astaire.
Jeebus. That's like saying that Mario Lanza should get singing tips from William Hung.

@ webdunce - His name is John Hinderaker... which was changed to Hindrocket for mocking purposes... now Assrocket. I'm assuming he was serious. Here's the link.

Hinderaker chose the name Hindrocket as his own nom de blog. He was roundly mocked for it, but that was never his purpose (at least not on a conscious level).

A truly what the fuck? moment. Has this dude been living on the same planet as the rest of us for the past 8 years? And the name is valid - he certainly is rocketing this drivel from his ass.

Dee-Loo-Zhun-Uhl.
Read that in Aravosis' hizzie last and was floored by the borderline psychotic detachment.
Hindraker will soon be wandering the streets babbling to himself, smacking his lips, & wearing a DMH gown with his ass hanging out.

Anyone else read Dilbert? Panel four of Sunday's comic has this: "Ignorance and envy will fuel rumors that get repeated until they morph into common knowledge.
That has been a prime strategy of this administration and its supporters.

yes indeed... Bush is very logical and a great orator... and the earth is flat and when you reach the border you fall into oblivion, and the "mission" was accomplished, and "nucular" is the correct way to pronounce the word, and jesus is coming back in a spaceship, and witches are alive and well and living in Alaska... this is not intelectual violence, it's intelectual rape!
