And The Women...

The most admired women in America, according to Gallup:

1. Hillary Clinton 20%
2. Sarah Palin 11%
3. Oprah Winfrey 8%
4. Condoleezza Rice 7%
5. Michelle Obama 3%

Sarah Palin is second, eh? Yep, because quotes like this are so worthy of admiration:

Uh. That thankfully our founders were wise enough to say we have this position and it's constitutional -- vice president will be able to be not only the position flexible, but it's gonna be those other duties as assigned by the president. A simple thing.

Was this a poll of the stupidest people possible or something?

Posted by: Travis D at December 26, 2008 12:16 PM

yes travis...thats right...they polled republicans. (sorry i couldnt resist!)

Posted by: cminri at December 26, 2008 12:40 PM

That would explain how Hillary wound up on top of the list.

Posted by: Travis D at December 26, 2008 12:41 PM

travis - i handed that one to you on a silver platter...(you're welcome)

Give it some time. The Right has had 20 years to brainwash America into believing that inexperience and ineptitude are virtues to be exemplified and elevated.

This last weekend, my mom (and I love my mom dearly), asked me why it's ok to suggest that Palin had no experience and therefore couldn't be VP, but it's ok to appoint Caroline Kennedy to HRC's soon to be vacant Senate seat. I told her that I wasn't comfy with just appointing Kennedy, but let's be honest, Caroline Kennedy probably could have defeated Palin at debate, soundly, at the age of 14.

But she's "hot" Bob, donchaknow? Also.

This is because the MAJORITY of AMERICANS are just to fucking stupid to know the difference...:::SIGH:::

Posted by: willpen at December 26, 2008 1:39 PM

11% is really a low number, though

Posted by: Lee Stranahan at December 26, 2008 2:02 PM

Yeah...that 11% probably about the same as the overall percentage of the aging, mean, dumb girls from High School that Sarah Palin represents. This is their first chance to have some stupid popular girl like themselves in charge of anything.

They don't seem to realize that there is a reason they reach their social peak at 16.

Also check out the video for the song '1985' by the band Bowling for Soup. Not a great song, but its clearly about a girl just like Sarah Palin.

And such as. And also.

Completely off-topic, but WTF is with the barbecue media? Why isn't this getting more national attention? It's happening in Sarah's "real" America!

At the Kingston Fossil Plant in Tennessee, hundreds of millions of gallons of coal fly ash slurry escaped after an earthen dike broke at a 40-acre waste retention pond. The spill is being called more than thirty times larger than the Exxon Valdez, yet the story has received little national attention.

You are forgetting that there are a LOT of very stupid people in this country. A LOT.

This only supports my notion.
