Morning Joe
Mike Allen from the Politico just said on Morning Joe about the $700 billion TARP:
"Remember, we were all gonna fall off a cliff if this didn't pass and it's made no difference at all."
How the hell does he know? Economists keep saying that the economy would've experienced a collapse far, far worse than actually happened withoutout the passage of TARP. Look, no-one loves that it needed to happen, but how can anyone deny that it didn't sandbag a much larger disaster?

. . . they can deny it because Morning Joe lets them. He "knows" that it made "no difference at all" because when he pulled that statement out of his ass, nobody on the set said boo about it.
Aren't these the same political and economic geniuses that allowed this all to happen in the first place?
