I just got DVR about a month ago. [Comcast bundle.] I haven't gotten into the zipping past commercials habit yet.

I got used to instant answers when my daughter and sil were living here for 9 months. She always had her laptop on her lap while watching tv, playing a game with ten other tabs up, multitasking her ass off for pleasure. I'd theoretically or seriously ask a question about something on the tube and about 30 seconds later she'd answer in detail. Took me a couple of months to think to ask how she knew that particular thing. I knew she was smart but damn. She was Wikiing.

DP, when I was a kid I loved encyclopedias. But I wished (early 70's here) there was something you could type in any question to and get an answer.
